If and when training starts, do the teams who own their own training facilities have a big advantage? Hibernian have plenty space and options down East Mains, but with social distancing and football being a contact sport, lots of problems ahead. Hope our players work their socks of in the race for fitness.

I would imagine there would be loads of complications if you had to share a training ground, particularly if it’s with the public.

Problems are going to be in the changing rooms, very little chance of social distancing in there. Also when training they will be playing practice games, working on moves etc. Coming into close contact just cannot be avoided in football whether playing or watching in stadiums.

No need to use changing rooms until games are near restarting. Dunno how many but read of one German team who went to stadium stripped and changed into their boots when there. And that’s after being quarantined and tested regularly leading up the game.

it’s cool, it will be worked out.

This is what I see, unless you turn up in your car ready to go, straight home after for a shower. Public, toilets, shared shower rooms, real problems ahead. Being fits fine but any player will tell you its games that sharpen you up, pre season injuries may also be on the increase.

Do the players get tested, if they've had the virus is it all systems go? Going to be interesting. Getting into stadiums is another issue. Going to need forward thinking folk involved in restoring our game.

Positive attitudes welcome. GGTTH

When do we expect social distancing to be relaxed?

That could be the key.

Players keep themselves fit up till then, proper training and games from then.

When theres a vaccine would be my guess , no pubs or live football this year i fear

Timescales indeed, I hope we're on the ball and get match fit pronto. I'm confident Hibs will get this right and a plan of action has already been drawn.

Possible, but many will be hoping for football returning sooner. Money is king. Health and peoples safety is paramount.

If it becomes clear we have the virus under control, there is no big second wave of infections, and we can find a treatment for Covid which can prevent people getting seriously ill with it and requiring to be hospitalised along with mass testing, tracing and isolating, then I think there will be big pressure from Football and Rugby for governments to allow fans to go to matches in the Autumn.

I can certainly think of one championship club that may struggle.
