Any luck on the tablets?

They are not empty, its paracetemol, soap, (weirdly) bog and kitchen roll, anti bacterial wipes, cheap dried pasta, rice and bread. Certainly out here in a conurbation of 75k, 12 miles from Edinburgh its just fandans bulk buying.

If you are stuck for anything that matters most Andy, let me know, if I can help I will post or pop through in my car.
Thanks mate for the very generous offer, I managed to get the tablets and also phoned the doctor today who has written a prescription for more, the old man and brother are going to get out and about tomorrow for food etc for us, we are meant to be in isolation according to the doctor but I'm sure like many others ain't really prepared greatly, just have to get through it, strange times, also done the 'sunshine on leith' sing along for the NHS nurses etc tonight from the window which has brightened the spirits.

Thank you again.

So Sainsbury's made how many billion pounds profit this year? How about Tesco?Morrisons?Waitrose?and we're getting hacked off with people because they've got a few extra rolls of bog roll?

Only a couple of hundred million last year and getting less each year.

Ah bog roll....

this is apparently what happened

some radges in Australia emptied a shop of bog roll. Pictures appear on social media, prompting panic buying even in countries like the uk where people don’t realize that the empty shelves are Australian.

then pics of uk empty shelves appear and panic is then widespread.

Well it's happened.

Late last week I decided to make my fried rice. Up to Aldi and first of all you pass the veg bit, mushrooms and onions in the basket. Tum te tum round the store to get the rice (1kg but I only use half, the other half goes in the rice box) and lo and behold there was none. Did I take the veg back? No, I forgot I had it by then.

Two or three shopping trips later still no rice but I have to get some cause the mushrooms will be past their best. Fuck it, I'll go to the Chinese supermarket.

5kg bag under my arm I head home.

I'm making the rice as we speak.

Mushrooms and onions chopped up I look at the huge bag of rice. I can put some of that in the rice box me thinks. Bloody things full of rice!

So I'm hoarding 5kg of rice at the moment! :doh1:

Lots of fresh suff reduced now in supermarkets. They're not getting enough people through the door to buy it or maybe the public are full of pasta, rice and tinned stuff.

Flour of any kind is still like feckin gold dust.

Noticed bog roll back in stock along with lots of bags of potatoes and even a small amount of whole chickens at lunch time today in Morrison. First time in 3 weeks I've seen any of these.

Every day for the last week has been very quiet. If they aren't getting the stuff out for online deliveries it's going to get wasted.

Food banks are crying out for supplies.

Fresh food doesn't get handed out, i think they're too worried about poisoning somebody.

Some areas have ‘community fridges’ which keep fresh grub too.
