Fao Power

I think an Supporter liaison officer might be a better idea than a supporter rep,Power obv knows stuff that for confidentiality and business reason aren’t going to be disclosed on a public forum and gets questioned when he can’t answer.
If i’m honest i’d take the pressure off the reps and make it a simple SLO job where you ask questions that are within the SLO remit.

Think that’s a great idea. Especially if there was some formal method for asking the questions and getting a response.

Having said that I’d like the fan presence on the board to remain there. If there was a SLO though I think it would take some of the pressure off and leave them to do more general oversight.

There is a SLO!

Maybe their role and particularly how he should engage with supporters should be publicised.

I was going to say more publicised but it's not publicised at all!!

Christ. The fact that I don’t know that is a pretty ironic indictment of how well its working out!

I think some people have to realise that, fans rep or not, there will be information that will not reach the public domain. It could be commercially sensitive or sensitive for any one of a thousand other reasons.

If there have been failings by individuals or departments these will be dealt with internally. I really don't see what value there is in washing our dirty linen in public. Making individuals scapegoats would likely be actionable!

Spot on.

I've never understood the notion that it is our 'right as Hibs fans' to be told absolutely everything we 'demand to know'.
Some of the stuff, like how much a player cost, earns, got sold for, add-ons, etc etc is quite obviously confidential.
It's not like Hibs are covered by FOI legislation or need to give details in the public interest.
Then the folk that can't accept that start up with the Ponzi Scheme/Rodders pocketing the money type of garbage.
Does my head in.

They do that partly because the communication is so bad.

The communication is patchy - sometimes good sometimes not - but it doesn't excuse folk taking the attitude that confidential information is theirs 'by right'.

Hopefully Kenny Millar will be working hard to ensure that info is available and current, but it still won't be enough detail for some I'm afraid.

I totally agree. There’s a couple of different things going on. People certainly don’t have the right to confidential information and I get as bored as you with folk assuming the worst from precisely zero information, but if there was a bit clearer communication and a more regular and honest approach that didn’t seem to rely so heavily on fans reps then I don’t think there would be so many assumptions made.

I see David Forsyth a pal of Sir Tom and Rod still sits in his free seat in the director's box. What's his role? Is he at all on the payroll? I know his background is PR. Is his business (from memory) Benchmark PR still doing the club PR?

Shiver.....

Shiver....

Exactly. Get the arrogant prick tae....

Exactly and give the communication guys freedom to express and not have the spin of DF.

Something definitely fishy...
