I went for Jackie too, but Jimmy Clark was the greatest racing driver ever. Stewart himself said he would never have won a championship if Clark had still been racingI think I might have voted Hendry instead of Jackie Stewart.
Jackie Stewart certainly achieved as much as Andy Murray (2nd) while he was participating. It's a close run thing.
While Jackie was driving he campaigned vigorously for driver safety and carried on after he hung up his steering wheel.
That saved lives.
And what he campaigned for has filtered down to road cars, saving more lives.
Andy has put his reputation on the line in his vocal support for women. Good on him but he's got a wee bit to go to catch JS. IMO.

In those days the driver had to drive the car unlike the wheeled computer games nowadays.Like! Good shout.
Folk these days just don't appreciate part of a car/motorbike in human form. It's almost impossible to comprehend these days.
Sorry, Jack, but JYS couldn't hold a candle to the greatest driver to hold a steering wheel.I think I might have voted Hendry instead of Jackie Stewart.
