Which recently-departed players will you be keeping an eye on?

Well the new broom is starting to sweep clean and we’ve got a few no ex-Hibbies moving onto pastures new.

Personally Im going to be looking out for:

Steven Fletcher- I want him (and Burnley) to do well in the EPL. Plus I want to see if they can get him to hit it with his right foot! Also playing at a high level week-in week-out should make him an even better player for Scotland.

Andy McNeil- I don’t expect him to make a return to the SPL straight away but he always came across as a commited pro who gave 100% for us and I genuinely want him to do well.

Alan O’Brien- Obviously a player in there but we didn’t see enough of it in a Hibs jersey (not necessarily his fault). I dont think he was going to fulfill his potential as a Hibs player though so moving on is best for both parties IMO.

SF – Huge ask to go from SPL and perform in England’s top division (the so-called best league in the world). Sincerely hope he passes muster but I would’ve said that natural progression would’ve been via a championship side.
A McN: If he doesn’t kick (or save!) another ball in his life, he can always say ” I played when Hibs won the League Cup in a 5-1 win!!” Goalies get better with age so who knows – we might see him back at ER some day.
A O’B: Confidence plays a massive part. Alan seemed to lack this but if he gets it back, he can do it there’s no doubt about that.

Nae patronising p*sh cos I sincerely believe what I’ve posted above.
    Glory, Glory….
