    Re: Light blue and claret

It's really only among senior league clubs that it's not common.

In the non-league seniors the following do, or have recently played in claret and light blue strips...

    Whitehill Welfare
    Eyemouth United
    Heston Rovers
    Newton Stewart
    Keith

    Also in the juniors...

    Shotts Bon Accord
    Cumbernauld United
    Lugar Boswell Thistle
    Forfar Albion
    Oakley United
    Haddington Athletic
    Kelty Hearts
    Bathgate Thistle (away)
    Nairn St Ninian

And I hate to tell you Aston Villa play in those colours as a homage to the Huns and the Gunts...

    Re: Light blue and claret

Pretty much the same as green not being very popular down there.

In fact come to think about it there doesn't seem to be many top league teams anywhere wear green.

There's one in Spain and Germany but I cant think of any others.

Sorry, I suppose this is a bit of a hiJack :peepwall:

Thanks for that, that maybe explain why the jambos went with a maroon and light blue away strip a few years ago.Plymouth Argyle play in green and white BTW.Not that they're world beaters or anything.
