    Thinking Steven Fletcher..

..seems to be playing very well at Burnley.

Scoring 2 and cleverly creating the 3rd.

On that note, has anyone else noticed how well ex-hibbies
    are doing in the Championship?
Dean Shiels seems to be in form atm too..

    Re: Steven Fletcher..

He was playing behind the strikers at the start of the season but has since been moved upfront.....

My Jambo mate at work is almost due me a tenner after betting me he wouldnae score 6 in the Premiership (He's scored 5 and 3 in the cup) :banana

was listening to radio on mob phone during game and Antone-curier scored and then Philipe Moraise and Im thinking..oh no have we shot ourselves in the foot again with our strikers not exactly free flowing. The nu steps mr reliable again

He's doing very well and I'm pleased for him. But he's so one-footed that I'm suprised he doesn't hop about on his left peg.

    Re: Steven Fletcher..

The Burnley fans love him. They say he is on his way on becoming a Turf Moor legend and that it is going to be very hard to hold onto him for next season. Anyway well done Steven Fletcher!!!

It was tight too. You're supposed to give the advantage to the striker, so it maybe should have been given.

He's played really well for Burnley and is getting the plaudits from the fans and a few pundits. I've said for a few months but especially now that he should be No.1 striker for Scotland.

One a side-note, Kevin McDonald (former Dundee player) has played in a good few games as well and has played well. He was brought in to play against Arsenal last night, and his performance was excellent. If he keeps it up or improves then he should be in the Scotland squad soon.

    Re: Steven Fletcher..

I must admit i thought he might struggle for goals as he wasnt the most prolific with us but it was the rest of his game that was so good.

Brilliant to see he's doing well though, boosts the profile of Hibernian IMO.

Davy - Morais and Curier?? Shot ourselves in the foot. They are not good enough for us. They are not bad players but we are good to be rid. How many clubs has Curier had, there must have been issues IMO. He's now found his level maybe. Morais has trouble with bouncers and im happy he's away Deeko is the only one we can tolerate

Would either of them replace any one of our first 15 or so players??? I cant see it

    Re: Steven Fletcher..

I see he still can't finish with his right foot, missed a sitter right in front of goal fluffing it with his weaker foot.

Found his level SPL then. Same level that we are playing at I liked big MAC and thought he wasnt given enough of a chance at Hibs. Still, he isnt missed now so perhaps it all worked out in the end for the guy.

As for having had a lot of clubs, you're right he did. He was young though and maybe simply couldnt settle.

    Re: Steven Fletcher..

Just watched the FA Cup highlights and Fletch played really well against MK Dons. Skinned Mat Doumbe who fouled him for a pen which Burnley scored then a nice through ball from Eagles onto a clever run from Fletch that left Doumbe in no mans land with Fletch burying it from just outside the box.

I'm really glad he decided to go down south rather than along to the either of the old firm $#@!e.

    Good on you Fletch
