Was it no a reserve cup final rather than under 21s? Maybe getting it mixed up with the Youth Cup final against (possibly!) Dundee Utd?

Anyway, cannae mind of the score, but think it was around 1984?

    Re: memory malfunction

I have absolutely no records of the reserves/youths, but I have a vague recollection of this - as Al says I think it was the reserves then, and it was common practise to play first team players for finals.

I know a man that might have an idea, I'll ask him and come back to you.

Edit: There's the programmes from the night in question:

1985 reserve cup I think. 2nd leg at Easter Road we lost can't remember the scores. Fighting in the stand, only bit of the ground open, I didn't smack that big smelly $#@! with the celtic top on, honestly your honour.

    Re: memory malfunction

I was at the Parkhead game - I'm sure it was the first time I'd ever seen a 17 year old youngster called John Collins play for Hibs.

Did we not win at Parkhead then lose on aggregate at Easter Road?

Celtic: Latchford, Baillie, McGee, Grant, McGugan, Coyle, Colquhoun, McKechnie, McInally, Chalmers, Archdeacon

Milne was sent off after abut 20 minutes when Colquhoun took a dive, he must have been about five yards away from him. That's what sparked the trouble as well.

How Colquhoun could represent his peers as Union leader at that time when he was a cheating wee kant is beyond me.
