Great idea to have a poll on this. Hampden for me unless (and only unless) Tony Mowbray wants something contrary to that.

Just how desperate are they lot for Murrayfield? Feck them.

Clear differences in the www. world of Hibs it would appear from looking at the poll on .net compared to how i would forecast the vote here.

That's why they fixed the draw mate so this problem wouldn't arise in the final when it had to be played at Hampden.

    Re: Murrayfeild or Hampden

Because of the KO time and the fact it's getting played on the sunday, I'm going for Murrayfield.

I've already stated on another thread that if we can beat the huns at Hampden in a semi-final I see no reason why we can't beat hertz at Murrayfield.

I also don't buy the fact that hertz having already played there three times is going to give them some kind of huge advantage. A win and two Defeats hardley sets the heather on fire.

I feel everyone is missing the most important point here...

Murrayfield does not have pie kiosks only catering vans,so while you can get a cheeseburger or steak sarnie there will be no pies!!

Fitba with nae pies!! Is that even legal!!??

Think about it, is that what you want...coz thats what will happen!!

Giving that the game's at 12.15, I would imagine that the majority would have had a big Sunday breakfast.

Totally agree 100%, Hampden is for footie, its all part of the semi. no need to give the Jambo a advantage, what happens if they get to the final will they screem to have it at Murrayfield or Tynie .no they will want it at Hampden then. No difference, cant have it both ways.

    Hampden Here We come.

    Scotsman Vote is at:

    * Hampden Park - 25%
    * Murrayfield - 75%

    686 votes

Seems to me some Gunts have been on there. Definately doesn't seem to echo opinion on here. I haven't voted in either poll because I don't really have a preference but I can't believe there is such a bias on there when it's about 70%-30% in favour of Hampden on here.

    Re: Murrayfield or Hampden

Logistically, 12.15 on a Sunday is a nightmare. Supporters' buses will either have to leave at 9.00am (or before) to arrive in plenty of time. Anyone leaving Edinburgh after 10.00am will be very lucky to make kick-off.

And it is not the M-8 that is the problem. It is when you come off it and try to get through the suburbs such as Rutherglen where the problems will be.

At least if it was at 3.00pm on a Saturday then buses and cars would leave at different times, perhaps from as early as 8.00am up until 12.00pm. As it stands, you are looking at 100's of buses (and cars) leaving all areas of Edinburgh around 9.00am/10.00am on a Sunday morning and converging on a small area of Glasgow.

The same principle of staggered travel would of course apply to those travelling by train.

So, Murrayfield for me, but only for the reasons above. Still cannot see how Hearts have any advantage if it is played there though......

    Re: Murrayfield or Hampden

    i'm going for murrayfield

i wouldn't say hearts have that much of an advantage there, from what i've heard there players and fans hated playing there

plus 50,000+ rival fans getting through to hampden on a sunday and before 12.15pm,would be CHAOS

    then there's getting back,

remember being stuck on a platform at queen street for about an hour after the cis cup final, with a few hibees more than upset,it didn't make it a pleasent place to be,

now throw in a few unhappy rival fans and there's gonna be problems

plus hampden is a poor stadium in my opinion, try sitting down the front behind one of the goals and your day's ruined

What European games, you fanny? You finished fifth last season. Get a grip, Gunt fud. You've played 3 European games there.

Dunno quite why that quote angers me so much, but I think he should have at least quantified it with a "last season".

The EGB argument that it would be a 67k sellout, and the biggest ever Hibs v Hearts crowd in history swung me from Hampden.

That's some history to be part of. Win or lose.

Murrayfield for me. Apart from the logistical nightmares the hampden scenario throws up, the weedge police will have a field day if we all go through there. And apart even from that, 67000 at murrayfield (no probs) or 50000 at Hampden with most of that 50000 spending 10-15 quid in needless transport without which there would be more money for

Murrayfield for me. It's near 200 miles wherever it's played for me if I set off on the morning of the gemme.

Hearts might have played at Murrayfield before, but they've never played there to a full house (far from it) and certainly never infont of 30,000 Hibbys.

Having seen all the Media and Gunts sheiite about this, I have changed my mind on the poll on the hibs.net

It's the psychological advantage of them knowing that they have won before the game even kicks off

    NO WAY IMHO
