    Re: Northern Ireland v England

I thought I saw it last time they played, but I DEFINATELY saw it again. The England players were totally confused by the one National Anthem..... and the NI fans sang it louder than anyone.....

OH! BECKHAM HAD A CLOSE MISS, OFF THE BAR.

    Half time.

Starting to wonder if I should listen to Jackie Fulterton for the second half. Heavy bias for the Gerard 50/50 which the NI guy won, but oohhh, petal, Steven fell over. Free Kick.

    BOLLOCKS.

    We're doing well. C'mon the Gers...... er....... I mean, c'mon N.Ireland!!!!!!

Watched the rest of it in the kitchen...... eating ma tea!

There's only one Healy.....apart from the cars.......there's only one Healy.......apart from the cars.

Sproule came on in the last five mins???? How? But made a exeptional one-two, in a very very good move. DEFINATELY Mogga influenced in the way that his overall game is improving, and not just RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNING like mad.

GERRRIT UP YE, Engerland. Tonight I witnessed the Hibeesbounce, by Huns..... qwality.

Think I will use my 1000th post to congrat the NI boys on tonight, fantastic battling performence and with Sanchez in charge I really think that NI will be a very hard team to break down in future, very similar to the Dons of the early and mid eighties. Talking of Sanchez, he gave a very honourable mention to wee Ivan, he was bursting to let him loose on the England defence plus he also mentioned HMM losing his father and that it was a testiment to the team ethos that Col wanted to stay with the squad at this time and that that meant a lot to all the NI players.

A fantastic performance full of heart and passion, well done to all of them

Cheers KH. Unfortunetly someone called around the house to leave in ('leave in' is female code for three hours of incessant chatter) a wedding present so I only got to see bits of the game.

Super Sproule looked the business while he was on, for sure, and getting to be part of that game will boost his confidence.

Funnily enough, a couple of weeks ago NI fans were calling for Sanchez to resign. I'll ask a few today if they've changed their mind!!!

I listened to Fullerton's comm Scoobie - it's always bizarre.

I liked the closing comments from BBC NI's in-studio presenter at the very end of the NI show: "Well, goodnight from us on a night when the English came and we reminded them: We're not Brazil. We're Northern Ireland"
