    Your team for Wednesday

What do you think we should go with and then what do you think Lenny will do in reality.

And will Lewy and Jamie see over the top of the grass?
Hibs are standing on the brink of history...

I think we’ll line up as:
    Marciano
    Ambrose McGregor Hanlon
    Boyle McGeouch McGinn Stevenson
    Allan
    Maclaren Kamberi

It’s our strongest team, and regardless of the pitch, the team that can hurt them. If McGeouch doesn’t start, I’d play Bartley ahead of Whittaker.
We wanna be free, we wanna be free to do what we wanna do, and we wanna get loaded, and we wanna have a good time... That's what we're gonna do

If McGeough doesn't start, it's Whittaker for me. Hope Shaw is back on the bench, too.

If there's no Dylan (and there might be no point in him if Brendan's comments are to give us any clues)
It's gotta be Marv, they're out to do damage and stop us doing anything.
So Marv will boss them physically, they won't want too much of him. He loves that $#@!.

I would be waiting until the Aberdeen v "Scotlands Shame 2012" result is known before picking the team.

Is a draw going to be useful for us or is it a game we have to win which I think it will be.

In that case play the same team that had an excellent 1st half v Aberdeen but bring on Dylan much earlier in the second half if we need to push.

Marvin hasn't done much wrong but Roger and Dylan give us more of a forward thrust.
Football is the most important of life's least important things.

Not sure if would risk Dylan with his injury. They got away with the usual dirty tactics yesterday and being In a position of stopping us rather than having anything to play for, could just be one if the most brutish derbies in a while. They are a complete disgrace to the game.

I'd worry about Efe, his actions on Saturday suggests he's not 100% and given the battle Tynie always is, I'd maybe consider Porteous. Bartley instead of Whittaker too.

    Rocky

    Porteous
    Darren
    Hanlon

    Boyle
    Dylan
    Marvin
    John
    Lewis

    Allan

    Kamberi

Do we go to beat them by playing football where we are quite obviously the better footballing team or are we going thinking that's not possible and to get sucked into a battle?

For me we need to face up to their battle but go to play our game.

I'd definitely change the side a little for this.

    Marciano

    Ambrose
    McGregor
    Hanlon

    Boyle
    McGeouch
    McGinn
    Bartlay
    Stevenson

    Allan

    Kamberi

Heats will play a back three - Hughes sat out the Celtic game but I’ve no doubt he’ll be back for this. That for me means we have to go two up front as they’ll struggle with Kamberi’s physicality and Maclaren’s movement, one up front will give them too much time to angle their hoofed balls forward.

If this is the case i would be tempted to go with Barker up top alongside Kamberi. I'd probably lose Bartlay from midfield.

Pick our best team, which for me is:

    Marciano

    Ambrose
    McGregor
    Hanlon

    Boyle
    McGeouch
    McGinn
    Allan
    Stevenson

    McLaren Kamberi

Probably this for me with Barker to come off the bench.

Don't rate Whittaker at all. Lenny singing his praises at the weekend but everything is done at half speed and doesn't seem to be aware of players closing him down.

I’d still play Maclaren, mainly because the grass will be too long for Barker to effectively dribble at them.

Swapping Boyle for Bartman. We'll need to fight them for a bit and there is no point having Boyle and Barker running into a 10 man wall for 70 minutes.

Bring the speed demons on when the Jambos are on the ropes to finish then off.

    Unique challenge in the league

    Small pitch
    Overgrown grass
Most negative set up in the league they don’t concede many they don’t score many.

I’d blast them them for the first ten minutes - they will struggle if they go behind because they don’t have an expansive game plan.

70% chance of rain as the games is on. Won't please Levein. 100% though that he's the biggest fud in Scottish fitba!

Yeah suspect Lenny will go with this. I'm not convinced about Allan, drops out off the game too easily. I'd be tempted to bring in Barker for Allan. Whitty or Marv for McLaren. Need more physically players to cope with thier thuggish approach. And more pace to rip thier defence a new one.

I wonder if we’ll mix things up - it’s asking a lot of the same 11 players to put in 3 big performances in a week.

Strikers have only played a dozen games so maybe mix the midfield up a bit. Is shaw injured btw?

The only change to that I might make is Bartley for Boyle giving us an impact option on the bench. The downside is that it means moving someone out to the right instead of Boyle.

I think this deep grass is a load of nonsense! It's been going on for decades.

The mighty Brazil, when they were a good team, playing at home had the grass ridiculously long and insisted on the same for friendlies.

Barcelona when they played us and thaim had the grass trimned longer than we would be used to.

To stop all this crap the super duper EPL introduced a law around the length of the grass - but only last season!

I'd be surprised if Hibs hadn't done similar.
SO let's not buy into Brendas weekly whinge $#@!ting the game in Scotland.

As for the team. Whatever Neilybobs puts out. In Neilybobs I trust.

I'm going undercover in hostility again doing my best to discourage them from buying £2,000+ season tickets! That is my job.

Doesn't matter what we do, Hertz are a better team than us.

At least they are according to this zoomer:

I'm at a loss to explain why we're 20 points in front of them, I really am

Lennon talking about the game being "narrow tomorrow...hint that he's going to go toe to toe with them in the middle or double bluff...

Doesn't matter what we do, Hertz are a better team than us.

At least they are according to this zoomer:

Michael Smith: Hearts are a better team than Hibs - Edinburgh Evening News

I'm at a loss to explain why we're 20 points in front of them, I really am
    What a feckin zoomer

It was more listing the options in my head who could be on the bench. Not all of them will be on it!

Interesting couple of quotes to notice.

"There’s no hiding from it, they have been better than us this year".

    Followed by:

"I believe our team is better than theirs..."

Okay, pal. So I get that you're playing to the crowd, but please try and avoid correcting your own assessments, you $#@!ing idiot.

But back on topic, the more I think about it, the more I think Lennon will stick with a team that won't lose - that means being combative in the middle of the park, and not giving anything stupid away. The reality is that if we don't gift them a goal, they won't score one (outside of the obligatory Djoum/Stevenson/Ozturk wonder goal from nowhere). That means that in order to win the game, we just need to be clinical and hope that the officials do their $#@!ing jobs for once.

Considering that, I'd expect McLaren and Kamberi to start and Boyle to make way for Bartley. Shore up the middle of the park, and control the game once we go in front. If we're losing, we have an impact player to come on from the bench and hit them with pace. Of course, the snag is that if we're losing they will absolutely shut up shop and stop us getting in behind them.

Levein is a no-risk, no-adventure manager. Lennon knows this, and knows that anything other than defeat puts us in with a great chance of finishing second.

I'm confident we won't lose, but not confident we'll win.

The erudite will have, therefore, calculated what I expect the result to be.

A dire, turgid, eye-bleeding goalless draw... Which, ironically, will be just fine for the famous Edinburgh Hibees. Win or draw, we still need to beat 'Rangers' which means that they can only influence our aspirations by beating us.

And they don't have a manager who knows how to set up a team to win games.

Spot on assessment. Think Boyle will start to nullify the pace and threat of Mitchell out left though. Pin him back completely.
