Habaneros – You Say You Want a Revolution?

two parter just finished on BBC4 - impressionistic documentary charting over 50 years of the revolution right up to date, painted a fascinating portrait of Havana its problems and triumphs. Anyone interested in Cuban history (or indeed world history) should watch this

I think I saw an episode of this the other night. It wasa fascinating insite into the Cuban culture. It was one of these things that came on my unexpectantly,I was just looking for some thing to watch late at night and found this.I must admit I didn't know a great deal about Cuba apart from what I had heard from defenders of the revolution who can't seem to see the problems from looking through Che tinted glasses.I fancied going for myself, but if you think I'm going to work a day cutting cane in order to keep Castro's successors in power you are mistaken Comrade(not you them)also being of the LGBT persuasion I'd probably end up in jail-if that's Socialism you can keep it.
