Shouldn't take long for the Retard to come up with "Rogers favourite for Arsenal with Lennon returning to his first love"........

Wenger has been Arsenal's greatest ever manager. A world class coach whom they will struggle to better IMO. Yes, he should have won more trophies and that is the only real criticism I can make of hi in his 22 years there. Rodgers is certainly a possibility, but I reckon they will be hiring from abroad again.

I don't think " teeth" Rodgers is very highly thought of doon south, not by the top 5 or 6 clubs anyway. They won't really pay attention to him skooshing the league up here, and he wouldn't want them to look to closely at his Euro adventures with the smellies.
If and when the Celtic job becomes vacant , Lennon will of course be a candidate.

Sweeping statement there, GM. Herbert Chapman? Bertie Mee? Not specifically aimed at you, but a lot of people seem to follow the Sky message that English football began in1991.

I accept that....however I still believe Wenger has been their best.

I agree with you. He had a profound affect on English football culture as a whole, not just Arsenal's. Dinnae think Herbert Chapman or Bertie Mee could say that.

I think Brendan wants this. Can’t see Lennon going there though.

    Aye.

He absolutely transformed Arsenal and is almost wholly responsible for the creation of an English footballing superpower that almost won the Champions League. The problem with replacing him is that he's such an all-pervading part of the club's fabric, that you need to hire more than just a coach to succeed him.

    People like Mourinho build teams.

Arsene Wenger built a whole club.

What happens next will be very, very interesting.

If they could get him after the World Cup, Joachim Löw would be a good replacement. No chance Rodgers is getting the gig!

Arsene modernised the English game - coaching techniques and sports science is taken for granted now, but he pioneered a lot of this. The evolution of the style of football is also down to his teams. That said, the game then evolved again and he didn’t move with it.

The difference between Wenger and Ferguson is that the latter was able to keep changing, and knew when it was time to call it a day.

Luis Enrique the obvious choice, or Ancelloti.

No danger would a top 6 side in England consider Rodgers.
