I dunno if this should be in the Hibs content, but it seems that John lambie has died.

A great character in the Scottish game.

    John Lambie RIP

Sorry to read of the death of John Lambie who had a spell as a coach at Hibs. One of the great characters of Scottish fitba who lightened up our game with his personality. Thoughts and prayers with his family and friends. RIP John.

That's one way of putting it!

Wasn't he the guy who announced that he was giving up sex until Hamilton Accies won a game? It took them four months, as I recall, and his good lady was allegedly not best pleased ....

    Rest in peace, John.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?" She said if she told me it would defeat the purpose .... (George Carlin)

A real West Lothian Gadgie, never happier than when surrounded by pigeons and greyhounds. It may well have been one of his pigeons crossed with a greyhound that shat on my jacket on Saturday.

He delivered one of the best lines ever in a football match when one of his players was KO'd in a game. The physio signalled for a subby and shouted over "He's concussed boss, disnae ken who he is" Lambie retorted "Get him oan his feet and tell him he's fcukin Pele then".

    Top bloke.

    RIP

I think this applied to Anal Sex only but you're right, his good lady was not best pleased.

Sad to hear this today...John Lambie was one of those great salt of the earth characters and a football man through and through. His passion for the game shone through and he gave great service to the game particularly his beloved Partick Thistle. He was a coach at Hibs in the 70's and idolised Eddie Turnbull. Scottish football has lost a real gem today.

    RIP John.

Just saw his daughter post on a friends timeline

Carole Lambie Totally overwhelmed by all the tributes to my Dad John Lambie. I recorded him singing a Thistle song and played it to him just before he passed. Thistle in his heart to his last breath. My Dad’s words ...
