    Destination Dingwall....

Its a long 4 hour each way birl for the estimated +1000 Hibs fans heading north to Outlander Country tomorrow, I have even seen suggestions its nearer 1500. We will arrive, numb of arse but looking forward to supporting Neil Lennon and his bonnie boys, whilst no doubt quadrupling the Mallards normal takings, and stepping back in time to munch on Wimpy Burgers much to the confusion of Hibs fans under 30!

Its a beautiful part of Scotland, stunning, spookily quiet and a $#@! of a drive or an even bigger $#@! of train ride. Booze free buses tops it off. The things we do for our club.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

I think my partner in crime SKII is on the Just Back, noting the tale will be at least 5-6 hours after the game ends.

On the traffic front I hear there are temporary traffic lights near Pitlochry and Heederumhoderum, and again near Aviemore and Haggisupper. Pack a flask and pieces guys.

Team wise, well I reckon we simply play for half an hour, usually a good start and a great ending with an average middle. I will not say we are poor, I remember Butcher, Calderwood, and Bertie Auld. Hibs are simply levels of good, they are never bad under Neil Lennon.

I reckon Rocky will keep his place, he should. The usual backies of Efe, Daz, Paul and Lewy, Dylan holding and orchestrating (tick tock pass move), John is back, Super John (sigh!), he will run that midfield, he is a powerhouse. Scotty Allan has given me the GIRUY, although last two games, he has found it harder to be brilliant, his pal Super John is back, Scott will flourish and I think I can safely admit I was wrong, Scotty is magic. Up front we have the ying and yang of german speakers (with an Edinburgh aussie accent) in Flo and Jamie, Flo is a magnificent player, all effort and skill who kens where the goal is. Jamie makes the runs and given the chance will tap them in, they work together. They should be ably supported by the hot n cauld Squirrel, on his game unstoppable, off his game, still ok but I prefer him on it. His missus said the same.

Ross County, I give not one flying fart about, I hope they go down. HOWEVER they have someone very, very special in their team and they may not even know it. Liam Fontaine helped Hibernian win that game on May 21 2016, he got us, he is one of us, we should ensure Liam knows that that will never change. But for 90 minutes he is an opposition player. If he does something decent applaud him, dinnae sing his name until the end. Let him know Hibernian Legends are Hibernian Legends forever.

See you behind the goals, in the Jail end, numb erses to a man and woman, but smiles on our faces and remember, get behind the team, not that the gallus gang in Since 1875 would let it be any other way.

    Be Safe and.............

    Hibernian Forever!

Best away day in the league, early start for Porty Hibs.

Hope County stay up at expense of Hamilton or Dundee
    until the sky turns green

No complacency, pick up three points, then see how the Huns and Sheep finish the day.

Things could look VERY interesting by close of play tomorrow.

Does anyone stay over on the Friday or Saturday night? Looks like a decent place to make a weekend of it.

I'm heading up there about 7am. Designated driver because the car my two laddies are insured to drive is not one you'd want to drive to Heuchter Teuchter land in...least not if you valued your crown jewels. So early it is so I can get a decent break before driving back down. The Just Back will be when I get home. Hopefully it will be something worth reporting on.

Looking forward to Fonts reunion and Lewis' 400th game.

Not looking forward to the average speed camera slog.

    7 am?

    Take the handbrake off.

About 10 leaves plenty time for chips and beer.

I want a walk. Stretch the legs, grab some grub and watch some EPL on the telly box. 7am is just fine. I've been in work for an hour by then during the week- it's a long lie

Stayed in Inverness a few times, always great. Stayed in Dingwall last time, was also good. Except the local Huns singing the sash outside my window for hours at about 4am.
Pub in railway station turns into local techno nightclub at the weekend.

Far too many huns up here. They infest the place. The Highlands have two decent, well run, likeable communty focused football clubs and cant turn out a decent support because of the number of pathetic $#@!s who`d rather follow follow a newco fae the Weege. Sad.

Wonder how many times we have had to come from a goal behind this season to take a point or 3. Great never give up attitude but we really need to stop conceding first and making games a lot more challenging for ourselves

I think NL tempered our expectations a little by suggesting anything we got from this trip would be welcome but a loss would hurt. But leaving it to the last minute, having apparently controlled much of the game, then one shot one goal, is taking the piss and shooting my nerves somewhat further than is reasonable!

Was always going to be a tough game...sounds like we certainly deserved to take something from it.
Great to see Oli Shaw back on the score sheet again.
Bonus being Aberdeen lost. Three points off second place is way ahead of where I thought we would be at the start of the season come the time for the split. We have five cup finals ahead of us and let's just give it everything we've got in each game and just hope for the best.

    Well done Hibs.

This result could come back to haunt us. We didn't play well.
