    Aberdeen Game Tickets

How quickly we sell our tickets will determine how many seats the sheep get. Hopefully, if your going be good if tickets are bought early. For me the board have to maximise income. Sadly could mean more tickets for sheep shaggers

It would be good to have half the South stand. It may depend on how quickly people buy the remaining tickets in the other stands. It might also depend on how the police view the game. Sheep used to be a Cat A security game. Not sure if they will still see it as such.

It's half term that week so some might be on holiday. I know I'm flying back in to Edinburgh that day and will go straight to the game from the airport. Nae egg chasing on though.

I don't know what their take would be. Historically it wouldnt have happened. Just thinking out loud. Hibs in the past would cite police advice as a reason for their security decisions. It's more likely to be the club not wanting to pay for added security with some seats not able to be sold due to being in no man's land. Unless there is clamour for tickets they'll probably get the whole away end.

Could we not release the South in sections and see how that goes with them while looking at how many home tickets are selling?

Then make a decision nearer the time.

Yeah more than likely, if we sold out early enough more chance we get seats in south...

Different pressures when you've a greatly reduced capacity and a guarantee of selling the tickets. Hibs have had to be certain that there is a demand from home fans that would outweigh demand from away fans before they've released the South. This game there will be big demand from the away support, who seem to feel relevant again. We will need to demonstrate that we can sell the bulk of the half of the away end for Hibs to forego taking the sheepie pound.

    Jack's suggestion is positive.

Maybe our fans reps could establish the situation . Sure we'll be hearing from them soon about the Hamilton game query from a week or so ago...

No. May seem harsh. But if daz and Hanlon fit they need to play. Lewis did great as an emergency centre half. Would like to see flo and mcclaren get a start at ER to see if can build a partnership. Then you have to fit in barker and boyler. If people fit some big decisions await for Lenny. Nice problem to have.

It’s strange that Aberdeen can’t get anything from Celtic or Rangers while we seem to be able to get something from our encounters with them, yet we toil massively against Aberdeen.

A lot will depend on injuries, fitness and how Aberdeen are playing. We need to counter their strengths more effectively.

I get what your saying, but last game v dons was only encounter in a while that they better side, we battered them stupid at ER earlier in this season, they didnt deserve to even think of a point never mind walk away with all 3, Ronnie Biggs would have been proud of that heist

Aye the last game at Easter Road was daylight robbery. The big problem that day (as has often been the case) was that we didn’t turn our possession into goals. The Pittodrie performance was rank, but was on the back of a hard run of fixtures.

Aberdeen are very good at grinding out wins against the non-OF teams home and away. They are a very difficult team to play against and they know how to defend a lead. So important to get the first goal against them. They are a good side no doubt about it, but so are Hibs. They won't be relishing coming to Easter Road in a fortnights time. We are certainly overdue a win against them.

"Hibernian fans can now purchase tickets for the South Stand for the upcoming home match with Aberdeen, with the other three home stands almost sold out.

Demand has been high for the game against the Dons and next month’s Edinburgh Derby, with the latter now completely sold out and the Aberdeen match heading that way.

We would encourage supporters to buy early to avoid missing out on a ticket for the game.

A limited number of tickets are also available to purchase in the West Stand Lower Executive seating, priced at £32 (adult only). With some of the best views in the stadium and a more comfortable seat for the game, we expect these to be snapped up quickly. "

I don't know which are the physicals conditions of Hanlon and McGregor, but I think that even if they're fit they struggle against the pace of Aberdeen's strikers. I'd play Ambrose in the middle.

This is heading for a sell out. Sheep have sold their allocation.

Neutralise McLean and get in the faces of their back 4 (3?).

They didn't like King or Stanton running at them yesterday.

Losing both from our midfield would be a big miss but the Scott Allan signing lessens my concern if McGinn were to miss the derby. He offers drive from midfield and more further forward with less dig and defensive works which others can provide.

Marv missing at Parkhead wasn’t such an issue and the same goes for a home game against the Savile nation.

McGeouch, Allan, Slivka covers 3 central mids. Whittaker back soon also might be considered by Lennon if not the fans.

Of the two I’d rather lose Bartley - he’s been good in the Derby games, but McGinn’s quality is more likely to show through on the larger Easter Road pitch than it did recently at Tynecastle.

Hope we have a plan for dealing with GMS on this occasion, he's caused us all manner of problems in the previous 2 games. Maybe a nice firm tackle early on in the game will let him know he's in a game and will see him retreat back into his shell?

Agreed. The way they went about McGinn (Christie and McLean) and Boyle (May cynical shocker) in the first game at Easter Road must be returned with love. Just no done in by McGinn or Bartley mind.

Lennon should point this out in the rags, I reckon we must be one of the most fouled team in the league, and Mcginn the most fouled player. It was disgusting thexway the sheep players all took their turn to hit mcginn that game

Absolutely. Aberdeen and McInnes will think that was "clever play" because they got away with it, but this is where the ref must do his job and make sure that "fair play" is the benchmark.

And it's even more ironic given that GMS would go over if you breathed on him too hard.

We are going to have to have cool, disciplined heads on the park on Saturday if we are going to get anything. I'd also be telling John that rather than do his usual, which is get up immediately while looking (rightly) pissed off, he should go down like a sack of tatties and roll around a bit. It really pains me to say it, but it'd pain me all the more to get mugged by McInnes's "professionals".

There are a few overly physical teams in this league, the sheep are right up there, but they different is they have some real quality players to go with it. Last time at ER we saw how dirty they can be, at Pittodrie we saw how ruthless they can be.

I’m expecting them to foul their way through the game, with the hope that someone with produce a piece of magic, then lap up the media praise of how great they are.

Probably because Aberdeen have quality forward like McGinn, GMS & Rooney while Rangers & Hearts have nobody close to that level.

The Pittodrie game was on the back of a hard run of fixtures for Hibs, but I expect it to be very similar to their last visit to Easter Road.

Ah you mean why does it no work for Aberdeen against them? I think against Rangers & Celtic the sheep play with fear for some reason, has to be a mentality thing. While against Hearts it’s a case of hammer throwers V hammer throwers and they cancel each other out.
