Guys just trying to earn a living, have no problem with him taking a job at the Huns. He's a paying season ticket holder with his wee laddies, still a Hibee.

This. Would rather it wasn't at the huns, but he needs to work. We all know he's a hibby

Not strictly true. He conceded this later on. There was "an arrangement". Let's hope it wasn't an EBT

Not surprised. His Twitter is essentially a 24/7 Hun love in.

Fair enough he's got a season ticket at Easter Road but the boy is a wank. If he was chocolate he'd eat himself.

Had to unfollow him as my twitter turned into Hun central. 90% of these phannies will tongue the farter of any player who interacts with them and Thomson was more than happy every time a hun $#@! tweeted to say they need his type at Ibrox now, he'd be ideal for coach role etc etc, footage of some tackle they wank themselves silly over in one old firm game.......and by following him I would see every like or reply.

The regular photos of him at supporters functions was even worse.

Agree that he has to make money but I've had to categorise him as a hun loving fuk.

Other than that he seems a decent guy and will probably make a success of the academy if he doesn't make a C of it now Ibrox came calling.

He has a coaching service where he provides 1:1 or 1:2 sessions for about £30 a session? Thats a ball park figure from memory but it's definitely not cheap.

Aye, me too. The guy absolutely thrives on their praise; it feeds his huge opinion of himself.

Just listened to a 'Monday Night Fitba' podcast with Kevin Thomson. In it he states that the arrangement was that he was paid £10 per week (which was a minimum league requirement to register as a player) but that he agreed a one-off bonus payment with Rodders if Hibs won the Scottish Cup (losing final against Celtic).

Excellent deal struck by Rodney there - about a hundred quid for him to play for the rest of the season!

To be honest, thats terrible and in his situation imo the worst he has done.
Disgusting attitude from him, no need for that, Christ hes done really well out the game, would’ve been good to help out the less fortunate

Did we offer him a coaching role? Nope. Why shouldn’t he work for them? Would it be ok if it was Celtic? Maybe then he’d still be worshipped by some Hibs fans like badge kissing Griffiths and Scott ‘hand a transfer request in’ Brown.

It’s a media and constant love in with their fans. It’s like a running advert for the louden tavern. The same level of desperate hanging on any club would make me feel the same

Griffiths and Brown are still playing, Thomson is out the game but is shamelessly pandering to his former employer, I don’t dislike him for it just find it a bit cringy.

To be fair he’s got a season ticket at Easter Road and is raising his boy a Hibee.

I am not going to put a link to his interview in the press today but if he made mistakes with the press 11 years ago...he's not learned anything.

He’s full of praise for everything rangers esp the fans but not one word re Hibs fans..talk about sooking their plooms... deary me thats a pathetic interview
And asking for his ST money back from Petrie. The "joke" got lost somewhere in amongst the 56 name checks for his business. It was more self promotion for his business.

In my humble opinion he isnae employed by Hibs, wisnae offered a job by Hibs and he wants tae get intae coaching so he's taken a position he was offered. He's hardly gonnae slag off the Huns while he's employed by them.Abigger concern for me is our managers love in wi' the soapies, trotting off tae celtic do's bigging up their achievements and their fans while employed by us.I can imagine the seethe on here if we had a rangers minded manager and he kept bigging up the huns and their fans. It's not that he's Celtic minded, he's a full blown Celtic hero and icon.
We can't tell him he's not allowed to be a part of events. He's doing 100% for this club and he tries to beat celtic

    So imo there's no wrongdoing.

Tbf, Thomson is doing $#@! all wrong either by simply taking a job. But it's the way he tries to come across a hibby but will give both his nuts to them.

i think what i'm trying to highlight is some of the hypocrasy concerning KT. He is giving to rangers no more than we would expect from somebody employed by Hibs,no matter what team they grew up supporting. i think i'm putting that across the way i mean it.

Mental. Bet our Squirrel would certainly never do that!

The criticism of Thomson was mainly from his time prior to being offered employment by the Huns.

His social media behaviour reminded me of the former Aberdeen chief exec's famous dig at Celtc and HunDogs trying to get into English football:

Wyness incensed the Old Firm during his tenure at Pittodrie by ridiculing their attempts to leave for England.
"They are like two old ladies on Sauchiehall Street lifting their skirts for every league that walks by," he said

Thomson only had eyes for one club though and it's worked well for him.....the Rangers loving prick.
Same would apply if he'd played and fawned over the other shower of sh!te in Glasgow.

Regrettably the wonderful deterioriation of our relationship with the Huns has resulted in some hard of thinking Hibs fans (and religious types) being under the false impression that we have some affinity with the lesser greens (founded 1888). Stamping out the adoption of their songs by misguided young team would be a start.

    End.

Think it's a reference to the "Stokesy's Da" song which a few hundred minimum were singing at Tiny.
Same ones singing about Jamie Walker's Sisters pants" which sums up their mentality/bevvy intake
    Both are horrendous.

Unfortunately not just young team singing this pish, plenty halfwitted adults embracing it too.

It is that song that i refer to and I've heard it a few fair times in the East stand recently.

First heard it through at Firhill start of December, could only have been a dozen or so folk singing it and it lasted all of 30 seconds. Disappointing it appears to have gained popularity

Well, the bookies have stopped taking bets that there will be another interview from Katie in the Weedgia telling us all how he is the self appointed advisor to Cummings on how to deal with the nasty insults from the big bad Hibs fans...

Luckily, I got great odds earlier this evening- guaranteed he will give this to level 5 media in 2 weeks time.
Hibs are standing on the brink of history...
