Happy Greatest Game In History Day

Think I might nip over to Gorgie Farm and count some Chickens before they've hatched

I was only 8 years old so I only have blurred childhood memories of the day.
Remember being at my grandma's house and my dad listening on the radio in her kitchen
then coming through to the living room to tell us that Hibs were winning 6-0. We went through to the kitchen and listened to the rest of the game
and heard the seventh goal going in. That night back at our house a New Years party with several very drunk uncles and older relatives who had all been at the game and we watched the highlights at night.

    Happy Birthday 7-0.

Probably the ultimate Hibs match to attend, 7-0 in Gorgie on New Years Day

I was 11 and remember the day well enough. There was no segregation back in the day and I was in the enclosure with my dad who is a Hibby and two of my Jambo supporting uncles. One of them had a flat on Gorgie Road and there was always a gathering there before the game. I remember enjoying the banter with my uncles on the day as well as in most other games around the period. That Hibs team were a class apart who made the Hearts look distinctly ordinary.
