Think he's a quality player. Love it when he just runs at people. Hopefully we see the best of him on Wednesday night

    Does ma heid in.

    Too easily jockeyed, too often.

If he could even just double the times he takes a player on, it would be a start.

Not sure he will figure on that tight, tattie field for hoofballers on Wednesday.

Said that today to my dad.

He drifts out of games, but when he is firing on all cylinders, he is unplayable.

I thought Barker had a great game, easily one of our better performers today.
I love watching players like him...pacy, skilful, and not afraid to take players on.
Wish we could get him on a permanent deal but his wages at Man City will be astronomical for a 21 year old.

Can be frustrating but has been good lately and he creates fear in opposition teams.

I agree there's a player in there somewhere, but honestly, I'd have hooked him for Simon Murray yesterday. I'm not sure he knows how to overlap, and there's a lot of possible 2v1s over that side that him and Lewis consistently fail to make the most of. I also wish he'd pass the ball sometimes, to me it looked like he was trying to get a shot off every time he got the ball, even when there were several options in better positions around him.

Can see the benefits against teams like Celtic, who will dominate the ball. Give him it to feet on the halfway line and he'll try something spectacular on the counter, but against teams like County, I think he's wasted.

    Exceptionally frustrating.

    Exceptionally frustrating.
Ross County struggled to cope with him and Boyle running at them.
Barkers fantastic run and shot in the first half yesterday would have been a strong candidate for goal of the season had it not been well saved by Fox.
IMO we have been crying out for a wide left player like Brandon Barker for years at Easter Road..as I say it's just a pity he is only here till the end of the season. I know he can frustrate at times like all wingers do, but as I said before I love watching that type of dynamic player who in many ways is a dying breed in the modern game. I find John McGinn a frustrating player at times, clearly a big talent he plays too deep and doesn't score enough goals...yesterday he just didn't look focussed at all.

It's people like him that keep people like you going to football games. Someone who can be mercurial at one minute and bewilderingly crap the next. When he is running with the ball at defenders you're off your seat. Squirrel is the same type of player but has a bit more belief and commitment than Barker.

Hearts have half of that formula mastered...

I think Barker is a confidence player and he's also still reasonably young which exacerbates that. It's all about self-belief with players like him, if things start going his way he has the ability to destroy defenders.
