    Stokes masterclass

@aggie is on Just Back and I'm sure he will be pleased to be reporting on a win.

However, I just wanted to applaud Anthony Stokes for an all round performance today that shows why we need his quality in the team. Head and shoulders above anyone else in the creativity stakes. Thoroughly deserved official man of the match.

With other results going our way today, the win means a very Hibby Christmas can be enjoyed by all.

Credits also to Paul and Lewis.

Their goal looked like a consequence of poor front post positioning again.

In other news the Gunt boy wonder got his daftie heid self sent off today. Merry Christmas
Hibs are standing on the brink of history...

I thought McGeouch was the man today tbh, but I don't disagree Stokes played a far better game this time round.

Was very impressed with some of Shaw's touches and turns today too, not lacking hunger either.

    Great game today.

I hope he kicks on continuing with a man of the match on Wednesday.

I thought Dylan's performance was ahead of Stokesy in the first half. However, in the second, Stokes was the best player by a mile.
Even when things weren't coming off for him he was still bursting a gut with effort.
More of the same next time out please Tony 👍

I agree Hammi, I thought Dylan was quietly sublime today, although Stokesy was really on fire.

Stokes was on a different level today, I said it to my Dad in the second half; he just looked so up for it. A few sublime touches, actually running at and committing defenders, a good goal, a defence-splitting pass for Boyle, different class.

    Stokes was brilliant.

He looked dangerous everytime he got the ball.

Much better from Stokes. I just wish we seen that type of performance on a weekly basis. A very good player on his day.

Murray needs to play for me. His harassment will be too much.

His through balls were brilliant today, he can spot a pass from 60 yards.

Me too, Stokes in the slightly deeper role. Basically a 4-4-2 and either Boyle or Barker has to miss out to accommodate Bartley

In what was IMO a scrappy game ruined by the windy conditions. I thought Stokes turned in a sublime performance.
How I wish we could get performances like that on a more regular basis.

You'd reckon so. And you'd think it might be Barker.

Murray and Stokes doesn't work, that's why I think we will start with them both on Wednesday as we are more of a threat and they link up well like witnessed today and against Celtic in the last 15/20mins.

Shaw suffered against Bruno Alves against Hunco, what do you think those nasty ****s are gonna do to him.
Let's not throw too much on him immediately, I like what I see, but there's only so much you should expect.

Murray will expose them and force them back into their hoof. It's up to Stokes to play alongside him and in all seriousness Stokes is more than capable of doing what he done today alongside anybody. In fact he had his best game in years alongside Jason on the greatest day ever. And most will agree they didn't work together.
