Just back and that was Effing awful

I left home at 6.45am this morning, suffering from flu type symptoms but determined to push through the 11 hour round trip, picking up other fans id promised a lift to and didn't want to let down. I'm effing knackered. I'm effing fizzing.

I'm only just free from being Effing freezing.

If I met any of the majority of the Hibs team tonight they'd get Effing telt. That display was cowardly. Sloppy. Shambolic.

You'll have all seen more than me due to the Effing awful facilities that masquerade an away stand- £26 for the privilege. I think Efe Dylan and others Effed up at the first goal. It set the tone. We capitulated right there and then. The second looked Rocky in every sense. One of GMS' goals looked offside. But we didn't deserve any more than we got.

The River Kelvin Diver got the man of the match but it was Andrew Shinnie's big brother who ran us all over Pittodrie. I'm too angry to write much more tonight but I reckon I don't need to.

    Rocky Effing awful
    Darren Effing awful
    Efe Effing awful
Lewis slightly less Effing awful but not good
    Paul see Lewis
    Barker Effing imposter
    Boyle Effing missing
    Bartley see Effing Boyle
    Murray Effing headless chicken
    Dylan Effing missing
    John Effing not Super
Stokes Effing only one who was going score
    Whitty Effing tried but average
    Oli Effing too slight.

I'll probably come back to this but I am Effing exhausted.

    They don't Effing deserve us.

Man of the match was Shinnie. But as we don't give it to away players it goes to Stubbsy...

Can't disagree with any of those sentiments! We were just plain awful and surely can't be that bad again?!

Pittodrie is worth highlighting as an absolute dump from the 70's and 26 quid for a limited view is a joke.

Yeh though they've had the added financial bonus of a few second place finishes and been allowed to build a team over a few years as well as retaining a good manager for longer than we've been able to do since Lexo.

I'm raging with today's performance but a wee bit of perspective required too. 4th would be a great season, the best since 2010 and a good chance it'll bring Europe if one of the top 3 (or us ;) wins the sc

You just know they will then go on to gift wrap Celtc the obligatory 3 points as they revert to bottling it against them again. Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason in Scottish football...

Feel your seethe and totally understand it one hundred per cent, J.

What a way to let down the supporters who have gone to great efforts to back the team. I think they owe the support something back for that debacle.

After the last 20mins against the team who are miles a head of anyone else and carry on against the scum who we completely dominated without killing the game and cheats of the linesman, I was actually confident about today until the end of the first half, their midfield were more hungrier than ours they won that battle and to be honest if someone comes in for SJM in January with a suitable offer then bite their hand off. Agree with the OP simply not good enough and pass marks go to nobody.

Watched on Hibs TV and we were just pish. Nothing like the hunger and performances shown the last couple of games. That said it's just a bad day at the office. Coming off two very hard games it's understand, but not acceptable though. The squad needs freshened and a big forward needed. We aren't a bad team just based on this game. Let's bear in mind this is our first time back since the championship. Top six is a decent achievement, anything else a bonus.

I can think of at least a couple of Managers who would have ordered that.

    They'd be quite right too.

Worth noting there was a very good Hibs support there today, at least double what I expected.

Yes, SJM had a poor game, like the rest of the team, but he has not suddenly become a player worth selling. One poor performance does not negate all the good stuff. When we were promoted I hoped we would finish in the top six and that would still be okay. I've enjoyed most of the matches, tho' realise we could have several more points if we had a striker. Every team has a 'bad performance' ( perhaps not Celtic). I hope this was ours' and we recover against Ross County. If we were to sell anyone, for me it would be Stokes. Yes, he has some wonderful 'moments',but SJM puts in more effort than Stokes ever does.

I would sell both, SJM has the value that we need in order to strengthen with better quality players.

I agree, we lose our outstanding player but we’re able to buy, hopefully, an attacking midfielder who can chip in with some goals and a striker who knows where the back of the net is

Depends if a team in China are still interested, TBH we would be saving a wage and I expect Big Dave to leave in January.

Almost made the game, and then didn’t end up even seeing it on the TV so can’t clmment directly on the performance, but I still feel the constant chopping and changing of the team isn’t helping. We need to find a settled team and formation that works and stick with it, particularly at the back where we were so strong last year.

I was watching on Mobdro, lost the link at half-time and couldn't be bothered finding it again.

We've had a few bad games, that's understandable, that's Hibs. After the last 2 where we played some great football it was disappointing we capitulated this game.

There's celtc, there's the sevco and the 🐑 and at the moment we're on our own behind them but ahead of the rest.

As for the second half of the season a lot will depend on who signs who in January.

We will be no worse than 4th. I doubt NL will settle for that and we could well break into the top 3. Keep the faith.

    We're better than sevco IMO

Very poor, tired looking performance from Hibs today..lacking in any cohesion with concentration levels defensively very poor. Playing three huge games in six days with very little recovery time in between finally took it's toll on Hibs today. No excuses for a really bad performance I'm just stating the reality of the situation we found ourselves in. Lennon has had to juggle the team and the squad around during this week due to injury and fatigue. Going by the result at Ibrox today it looks like Wednesday night's game took as much out of the huns physically and mentally as it clearly did to Hibs.

A few days break and we prepare for Ross County at Easter Road next Saturday which we really have to win to try to cement fourth spot before Christmas and give us some confidence going in to the derby. These remaining games in December will all be tough though.

Long term, I want to see Hibs replace Aberdeen as the main challengers to the Old Firm, but that will take more than a season if it can be done at all. The Rangers will improve steadily and will always have a much bigger player budget than Hibs so eventually they will likely pull away from us. If Hibs can finish fourth this season it will have been an excellent first season back. It's going to be tough going though...much will depend on whether we can keep John McGinn till the end of the season and who Lennon is able to bring in during January.

55% posession for Hibs, more corners but nothing, nothing.
Didn't really threaten though just knocking it about, they defended quite well too..

It was abysmal watching today but (a)the squad is definitely somewhat limited at the moment, (b)they're 6 days after the huge effort of the Celtic game & 3 days after the demoralising loss to the Hundogs, and most importantly, (c) Aberdeen knew it & played a blinder. Every time any Hibs player got the ball, there were Sheep all over him in seconds & when they attacked they were clinical.

Very poor performance from us but, thankfully, far FAR from typical this season. We'll bounce back with fire in our bellies after a rest.

    Aye maybe.

I think a lot will depend on signings in the window.

If we were able to get close to solving our scoring issues, getting even close to what our play merited we'd be amazing!

I would take every single player from Aberdeen’s starting 11 over any of our starting 11.

They’re the best team I’ve seen this season. Very impressed.

    Eff off Hibs...

They have a stronger squad than Hibs and like yourself I think they will finish above us. They are a squad 4 years in the making and have benefited from having a very capable manager and significant investment both from within the club and from external sources with businessmen investing large sums of money. Aberdeen is an affluent city and they are owned by one of the richest men in Scotland. They have finished second in the top league for the last three seasons whilst Hibs have been floundering around in the Championship. As I have mentioned before my hopes for Hibs in the next few years is that we eventually replace Aberdeen as the major non OF club in the top league. We are moving in the right direction and it could happen, but it might not. We have to aim for that status though. Aberdeen will find it more difficult when they have to pay for a new stadium and training centre in the next few years. I want Hibs to be in a position to take advantage of that.

Celtic are by far the best team I have seen this season.

I agree Aberdeen are a good side but they have had their dodgy moments as well. A 2-0 home defeat to Motherwell recently springs to mind and they were well and truly gubbed at Fir Park in the League Cup as well. They also fail badly when they are up against the Old Firm with two truly woeful performances against the Rangers in recent weeks. Where they really have the edge over Hibs is that they can regularly take care of all the rest of the league home and away and can grind out results when they have to as we saw at Easter Road. There is no doubt their form was affected by all the speculation about McInnes going to Ibrox...now that is in the past and they are back on track. Ironically I still think the Rangers will get second place come May.

We’ve played both Home and away, one of them has managed to beat us twice, one of them on neither occasion.

They’ve both beaten us-a touch harshly- on our last two visits to hampden, so that’s level.

Celtc are more consistent and will win the league, but on individual occasions, Aberdeen have impressed me more. The balance of their team, each area of the park, the aggression and desire.

Logan is the best full back I’ve seen this season on both occasions-If he played for Celtc he’d be rated as highly as the second coming Tierney.

Their front three are dynamic, relentless and efficient, midfield is much better than ours for sure.

Shinnie has been superb on both occasions I’ve seen him, I’d love to GMS at ER, May too.

    $#@!e all round from Hibs.

I think our lack of squad depth is showing - not in terms of numbers, but players who are as good as the ones they replace. That is what Aberdeen have that we don’t.

For me we need something different in the midfield, a player who wants to get forward to score goals. None of our four main central midfielders seem to have that. We need another winger, and above all a striker.

We don’t need to change anything defensively - yes Ofir, Efe, Paul & Darren were all rank yesterday, but they’re good players who save us more than they cost us.
We wanna be free, we wanna be free to do what we wanna do, and we wanna get loaded, and we wanna have a good time... That's what we're gonna do
