My assertion that it was to be an open meeting was not sucked out of my thumb but based on this from an HSA official......
Gordon tried phoning you back no reply we are going to make the meeting on the 16th an open meeting.
Following representation and discussion between Hibs and the HSA officials the following public statement was made by the HSA.....

Apologies, but we are having to make the Q&A members only on Thursday 16th. We'll post a report of the discussion on our website. We will have council members on the door so please do bring your membership card if you are planning to attend.

    Thanks

Not a response in months, literally months, then now we see some life, in advance of a meeting. Tracey, if anyone does actually vote next time, you have no chance of staying on. Pity in some ways as I reckon you are a good Hibby who gives a $#@!e, a is Frank, but have been mugged by those at the top. Another pity is the fact is Hibs are good but the fans remain unhappy with the board, shirley that has the board members asking why?

HOWEVER, how many fans have actually tried to go speak to the (failed) fans reps? I do so every time I see Frank, he knows that, I reckon he is sick of me, I go over and I ask questions, whenever he sits in his seat. I dinnae see many or indeed any doing the same? He only sits a couple of seats from me.

Last time I questioned the board and their patsies (mind they used to kid on Kenny McKaskill was a Hibs fan, is he still a season ticket holder, was he ever?), they set Jackie Mac on me, wonder who will respond this time, Greasy Forsyth or will someone read out his words?

I will repeat, its a damn shame, Hibs are great to watch just now, Lenny is magic, he has some cracking players. A large number of us still think the board are tossers.

I’ve never met Tracey. And I only see Frank (because I recognise him) at away games.
I suspect the vast majority of Hibs fans don’t know what Tracey or Frank look like hence the lack of approaches.

The whole ‘fan rep’ thing is a farce in my opinion, although I am quite content that every Board member is 100% Hibs and wants only the best for our club.

I’m puzzled that anyone can think a Hibs Board member is somehow anti-Hibs in any way at all.

    Mental.

Lots of bouncers and other well kent Hibbys sit around me, they all know fine well where Frank sits and who he is. Personally I think most are keyboard warriors. Dinnae confuse self interest with being anti Hibs, ambivalent about the fans however, well.......

Big G I have no doubt whatsoever that you had been told it was open, I know you would prefer this, I think it’s wrong and a mistake to change this. The hsa should be able to hold the club to account without the club dictating things. Hsa donate substantial funds to the club and should be pushing for this to be an open meeting ,
Moving to a different venue. I know there is no chance it will be recorded or broadcast which again cuts out many supporters

Belting answer BTW. I was told that 'the heavies' were out in force at the WT group to help fend off the questions that you 2 as fans reps wouldn't be able to defend.
I would have called it Support

I'd call it them speaking on your behalf because you can't justify why you voted the way you did. But then us dafty Hibs fans weren't privvy to the secret squirrel info you and frank were able to see.

I think the issue we have is that the fans reps have become the Board's reps to the support and not the support's reps to the Board.
Hence the position on the Board, so the Board have control over what comes out. A real fans' rep position would be more akin to a Trade Union position. The process is designed to appeal to a certain demographic, in itself.

That vote, no matter the private information available to the reps, saw them with no mandate to vote on our behalf because there was no widespread consultation of the fanbase ahead of it. I feel they ought to have abstained at the very least. They did not vote in our name.

The going to ground immediately after has left a significant number of supporters reaching the conclusion lots are expressing on here.

An ideal quality for a fans representative...

It's noticeable too that just one of the fans reps has surfaced to take all the flak. This despite assurances at voting time as I recall to ensure improved communication online.

I assume you mean online Stu? Frank takes his seat in the West stand most home games and all away games. I find him perfectly approachable too.

And before someone accuses me of 'defending him' or some such nonsense, I have relayed my own complaints and those of bouncers many times to him and he will confirm that is anyone asked him?

His biggest failing is not communicating on the interweb for me, well that and the voting on our behalf without first discussing it with us on the Huns.

If anyone from here is going can they either record it or take good notes. An unedited or club approved report would be best

Yes I do mean online M. Notwithstanding what we think about the fan rep role generally and I've doubts about that like others, I just think that in this day and age it is an essential part of communicating in such a role. The job is all about communication and to just ignore online methods is not fulfilling the job properly I don't think.

I think both fans representatives are honest good Hibby's who love our club as much as we all do.

The issue is as @SKII says above. The boards managed to get these two well intentioned folks to be their representation to us rather than what we all thought was them representing us to the board....

I'm not sure that's happened because of a deliberate board strategy or design but because the individuals concerned are I regret to say, and say with respect, punching above their weight.

I don't envy their roles or responsibilities. I said some time ago I felt that they should both resign. They obviously have no intention of doing so and it just means both are ridiculed as they in reality have no intention of representing us nor have they positioned themselves with any intention of doing so.

Which leaves you to conclude they just wanted the position for their ego or CV?

There was the chance at the Working Together Meeting where Leeann, Rod and Stephen came along as we expected based on the chat on the forums, there to be a lot of new faces. One person who wasn’t a regular attendee turned up.

Apart from the AGM I am not sure if there will be another chance.

The Working Together Meeting was promoted as it normally is on the website, Twitter and Facebook. It was mentioned in one of the threads at the time and on other social media platforms where some supporters suggested they would be coming along to discuss it.
