Ha! It really is awful though and Hibs know it is but come out with the cash for the team spiel that gets trotted out every time a question is asked about an upgrade. It's not fit for purpose. Get it fixed ffs. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

If there is I'm putting a claim in for titinus my ears are still ringing when I went for my half time fag and walked past one of the tannoys on the stairs doonThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That's the trouble, Gaz. They know that the speakers are woeful but rather than replace a system that was put in in 2001 (at the least) they have resorted to turning the mic up full blast which was causing the crackling distortion amongst other things. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
A quick look on Google...
"The most common is a high-pitched, very loud sound which persists until the microphone is moved or the volume is reduced. This is feedback, feedback howl, or feedback squeal.
Sometimes it's a scraping sound caused by moving the microphone, and the contact with the supporting surface causes noise. This is called microphonics.
Sometimes it's caused by wind blowing on the microphone (and can often be cured by placing a foam cover over the microphone), and this is called wind pop.
Sometimes it's caused by the speaker or singer speaking or singing too loudly, and that's overload or clipping.
Sometimes it's caused by a bad connection, and is usually called static. If the bad connection is caused by a particular position of the microphone or wires it can be momentary or intermittent (and very hard to track down). This is our main culprit.
Sometimes it's caused by line-frequency electrical noise, and that's called hum. If it only happens occasionally, it's called intermittent hum. As with static, it may be caused by a certain position of the wires or microphone, and only last a short time."
We suffer from all of these and its time to get it sorted. No excuses. It's needed. A few weeks ago against Aberdeen, Jim Leighton came out at HT to do the Happy Hibee draw. The response from both sets of fans was very muted. Because naebody kent who he was! The tannoy guy tried to say his name twice but it just came out all screechy. We were like "Whae? ....Who?...What?" A shame for Jim. He must have thought "Eh, Why dae they buggers no like me? when ah wiz barry fur boath o' thum!"
We have made a right decent wedge the last few years. Do the right thing and spend some cash on a system that is fit for purpose please.
I’m ne for the fans reps to take on board.
Talking of which......
When is the agm? Or did I miss it?
It’s no like the manager needs fired or anything.

Where are the fans reps these days?
Are they present anywhere in cyber land?
Frank doesn't need our votes as can't sit for a third term. Tracey not sure what she will do if wants to get re-elected. Her campaign was all about improving communication lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It’ll be sorted within a week if it’s made clear we can’t hear the safety messages at the start of the game....

The fans representation is a joke. They are not fit for purpose and both should walk.
Nothing since THAT vote? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
They should be on the case over Motherwell's ticketing arrangements at the very least. I'd say that is the kind of bread and butter fans rep duty...
Hibs are standing on the brink of history...
TBF Tracey did tell us it was discussed at some meeting or other a few months ago. It was recognised that it's $#@!e but would probs cost too much to fix. Hence forth the spiel about the cash to the team mantra which we all have heard before ( kop out) The board will play ya.And gullibles fall for it every single time. Sigh. As for the reps? They mean absolutely nothing. There is not even a time in the future that they could pop up and show face and be treated with respect. Even if we were winning everything and good times were being had, I would still treat them with the contempt they deserve. It was so blatant. It made me cringe.

Keep wishing they would shut the heck up before the game...every time supporters try to sing the racket comes outa the tannoy...dont even need most of the songs to be honest

The system wouldn’t be that expensive if the cabling is good (which it probably is) it’s getting to the loudspeakers to swap them out that would be the hardest bit imoThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
