Playing 4 centre midfielders isn’t the answer

Get Boyle back in and let’s go at h3a2ts with pace and width.

I like Slivka but not wide

Its a good point, I would get Boyler running at them early, Stokes can do that too, as can Simon Murray. I like Slivka, he is a good player but as you point out, he is less effective when sitting out wide.

Best way to get at them is with pace and continually.

Like the last 2 home derbys. Early goals rocked them

I think they will play five in midfield and try to stifle the game and stop Hibs playing. We cannot afford to let this happen.
What they want is for the game to get bogged down in a midfield tactical battle, so Hibs have to first of all match up with them in the middle of the park in terms of workrate and winning the battle, then get the ball out to our more creative players and players like Boyle/Murray/Barker with some pace.

It looks very close to be honest. I feel that the first goal will decide the outcome. If Hibs score first momentum should help us get the result we need....if Hearts score first I think it's going to be very difficult for Hibs to get a positive result, certainly if recent home form is anything to go by.

Totally agree. This trying to put square pegs in circles is not working. I think we looked a better team overall in the cup games when Stokes wasn't playing

Stokes certainly isn’t the problem. Lack is support and service for Him is. Stokes has been excellent imo

Can't agree he's been ok. Nowhere near cup final stoksie. He don't like playing loan striker role. But he needs to do a job for the team. Looking at aggies post his league goals tally is poor

Definitely. Biscuits said same thing on Saturday. Hibs wingers will roast their fullbacks

If he was playing like that every week he'd be playing elsewhere!

The cup games before he signed and the game against Thistle. I thought the shape of the team with Murray up front seemed better. Saying that, Stokes is still our best forward and I wouldn't drop him. Just need to find a way to implement him with another forward.

Thought we looked better today without Stokes. Team seems to play better IMO. Better shape and more high tempo.

Defo and said that I think this might happen to my mucker before kick off
Stokes is a player and one of our talisman but it's not been working and tonight we didn't look disjointed and when we had the ball deep we always looked like we could move it forward with purpose and have someone looking to get into positions to hurt them
