Jim Brown - was in the team / squad when we played at East Stirling in 1981 (?)

Must have won his place in a raffle.

I was told straight from the horse's mouth.
I'm pretty sure Hibs also paid for half his (DLC) family/village to come over with him too!

I remember the talk was he had this rather dodgy agent. DLC barely spoke English and there was a feeling he was being manipulated somewhat. Mind you, he's a politician now so I doubt he's completely dense.
    so what do I know

Once DLC moved on to 'mega' wages down south he set up a charity thing for his village and encouraged his fellow international footballers to do the same. I'm sure this took off big time and if memory serves he was a central figure in some huge coordination effort following some natural disaster in his country.

I think he's one of the good guys. A diamond among the coal on this thread!

Didn't know that hammi, maybe henryLB was right in thinking we might have signed a ringer or something like that because he was murder 😏

Shefki kuki was another dreadful signing and although a decent player at a time but his time was well and truly over when he signed for us
The story I've always known was he was there as a pal to help DLC and even though I was young I remember De La Cruz was absolutely magic in a game against Hearts and I've seen a clip of a ridiculous turn against Celtic, worth it =D
