    Waste of a Hibs shirt

Older Bouncers will give you any one of a number of huns, Scott and Fyfe I consider the worst but others might opt for Butch feckin Wilkins.

Huns apart and more recently I'll give you Ricardo Jorge Vaz Tê. Brilliant player who didn't try a leg.

I hope your next $#@!es a hedgehog. The lot of ye!

Decent pedigree, good age but turned out his surname was actually Gish.

Alan O'Brien looked totally terrified of receiving the ball most of the time.

First time I saw him was at a friendly against Stirling ?Sproule had just left us, he got taken down on the other side of the pitch from where we were standing and the Stirling players , well aware it was a foul stopped, O'BrienJumped back to his feet and we scored !Was genuinely excited at the thought of him terrorising Opposing players ! Sadly tho he turned out to be a bit sheite !So much so a game (against Ayr in Scottish cup I think)They sussed out how pish he was and stopped marking him!Still did fkall 😂😂

    Been far too many recently..

    Tom Soares, Danny Haynes.

The signing of Martin Canning was a low point.

    Islam Feruz?

I’d go with Alan O’Brien, utterly useless. Got ample opportunities over 2 seasons and failed to deliver anything of note other than an assist v the Scumbos. Then disappeared into obscurity with Yves Makalamby.

Abdel Zarabi - 7 uninspiring games in 6 months, then never seen again.

Since I started in the eighties, I've probably seen more huddies than good players.

The first of those that I learned to hate was Brian Hamilton - he was absolutely $#@!ing useless from what I can recall, yet had a "pedigree" when he arrived from St. Mirren. The problem is that some awful players had decent work ethics, and I feel that it's harsh to decry a player who gave his best despite his best being far from good enough.

For that reason, it must be Matt Doherty. Useless player, knew nothing about Hibs, and didn't care to know. His Twitter also earmarks him as an embittered, Grade-A shotrag.

The biggest waste has to be OBrien. He was quite simply, a coward. That derby at Tynie being the absolute low point of his existence. A waste of humanity.

Plenty others who were $#@!e, but generally they at least tried.

About Doherty, I've never had any interest in Wolves ( except their quite superb Panini badge) but I now actively support whoever they play. He's just a $#@! human being, with the template personality of what many expect from a modern day footballer.

We've had plenty of cack through the doors, much of it pointed out here, but Matt Doherty's definitely the one I'd like to see have his leg snapped $#@!ing clean off in a challenge.

There's no shame in being $#@!e but there's shame in being a ****

Number of metrics drives this doesn't it?
    • Reputation?
    • Where did we sign him from?
    • How much did we sign him for?
    • Position played?
    • Opposition quality?
    • Management and team he played in?
    • Specific moments in games?

A number of worthy call outs, especially of recent over the last two decades given the high volume of player turnover.

Biggest waste of jersey for me is Jarkko Wiss. I tried to defend the unseen work he did in the odd game (we're talking one or two) under McLeish, Sauzee and Williamson but for someone of his standing within the Finnish national team he really was powderpuff in the challenge and determination to succeed here. Imagine him now up against Bartley, McGeouch or McGinn. Night and Day. He epitomised our drop in standards and league position in the early noughties and was central to the New Year 4-2 winning position capitulation at Tynecastle.

    And me.

I also thought Konte was hopeless and hated the cu(n)lt hero thing people tried to create, it was cringe worthy.

    Jarkko Wiss was piss.

Derek Anderson was garbage. I had been working abroad for 5 years and had seen Hibs twice in that time. I came home, he was playing, I nearly left for another 5 years.

Speak to him at the swings in Porty occasionally, he left his Greggs back unattended last year, doughnuts duly claimed by seagulls
Heard he had the bag in his hand and gave it to the seagull when it threatened him.

    Too many contenders.

Doherty is a prime example of everything that is wrong with the professional footballer. Hurtado was signed first and foremost as an interpreter for GJPs wee personal investment in Ulises. Seriously.
Derek freaking Anderson twice in one week?! Horrible.

    Stuart Turnbull. Mark Caughey.

Wasn't there some speculation that we might have signed the wrong Hurtado? Like there was a good midfielder and a massive huddy forward and we accidentally got the latter. Might be an urban myth though. What isn't a myth is that he was absolute $#@!e.

For some reason Paul Tosh and Lee Power are both seared on my memory as being useless to the point where them not being there wouldn't have been any worse.

Perhaps as many as half of the match day squad on the 19th May 2012.

Alan O’Brien had everything going for him and was an exciting signing but he just never looked interested; it was as if he was some human perversion of the bus in the film ‘Speed’. Instead of exploding for decelerating below 50mph, he seemed worried that anything above walking pace would lead to an unsightly demise.

Didn't know that hammi, maybe henryLB was right in thinking we might have signed a ringer or something like that because he was murder 😏

Shefki kuki was another dreadful signing and although a decent player at a time but his time was well and truly over when he signed for us

Pretty sure @SKII is correct and he was signed as a pal for De La Cruz to help him settle in. In that case, he was worth it.
