No...but since this poll and the other polls are to determine the "All-time" greatest Hibs eleven, rather that the best eleven Hibs players people have seen in my lifetime, I think that considering Johnstone was a key player in our greatest and most successful ever team which were Scottish champions three seasons out of four, scored 88 goals from central midfield in a 9 year stay at the club, and was capped 17 times for Scotland including scoring several goals against England in the process...that IMO he is worthy of inclusion as one of the two in central midfield of that best eleven of al time even though I personally am too young to have ever seen him play myself. I know several people of vintage years but whose opinions on footballers I trust who were fortunate enough to see him play, and they all agreed he was a quite brilliant footballer.

I think that's fair enough, and it will always be the debate of who you've enjoyed watching over who is generally regarded as the greatest ever. I'm always inclined to go for players I've seen myself, so I won't vote for any Tornado or Baker or FF, but that's not to say I don't see them as being our greatest men.

    I'm voting Latapy + 1 other.

See where you are coming from but I will be surprised if anyone nominates or votes for a player before the Famous Five.

Personally to me voting for a player I didn't have the privilege to see would be like listing a film I've not watched as the greatest ever!!

I've went for players that I love. Players that got me out my seat and cheer my head off. Not necessarily the best but I loved them at the time. So I went for Russell Latapy & Pat McGinlay.

I can see what you mean, but I just feel as though if the poll was for the best Hibs eleven you have seen it would have been easier. Hibs golden age was the late 40's and early 50's so it would just seem a bit off for me not to include several players from that era in my "best ever" Hiberenian team. We also apparently had some fine players in the '20's including Willie Harper who was Scotland Goalkeeper for years and Jimmy Dunn who was one of the Wembley Wizards. I can see where you are coming from with your comparison with movies and personally I would never mention a film as being an all time great if I had never seen it (similar to music, ratings would all come down to personal taste), but in the same token I think Pele was the greatest players of all time just going by his record and achievements alone...but I never saw him play.
