Big John McNamee was a big hard $#@! that really should be on the list.

And George Stewart, who claimed to me at the Anderlecht game* that "They Hearts $#@!s never beat us when I was playing for the Hibs" a statement I chose to believe but have no idea if it's true!

    *It was definitely that game.

    Or maybe Liege...

It's alright we'll ban him before he nominates Stuart Fcukin Turnbull in later rounds.

He travelled with us on the team flight to Copenhagen, but pretty much kept himself to himself.

I was almost tempted to ask him the old refrain "What's it like to be a Hun?" but he's still quite a big bloke and I reckon he'd be able to take me in a fair fight so I refrained from the refrain.

Was young but remember the outrage when he joined the Huns.

Hearts were not taken seriously when I started following football so all the ire of my dad and his pals was directed at deadco..

    John Macdonald in particular

I know Craig and he's a good lad despite his youthful error. I remember his dad Jock having an item in match programme where he said he had 2 sons- John who sold carpets and another one who worked in Glasgow. That's how he always referred to that career move.

Craig has an album of all his Dad's Hibs memorabilia- medals and the like. It's his pride and joy. His dad eventually forgave him.

    Cilla.

He wiznae bonny in any respect but because the rest of that team wouldn't hear a bad word against him I feel he's at least worthy of a mention.

And Roy Barry so that older Bouncers can have a wee laugh as they recall some of his antics/challenges/fouls!

And on that subject.............. Chris Shevlane anyone?

Another ex-Gunt who ended up at Hibs as an 'enforcer' who could mollicate and destroy any centre forward he played against....................... if only he could get close to him..........

For me George Stewart and John McNamee should be in there.
    Jock Paterson as well.

Out of the ones listed it would be a tough choice for me between Sauzee, John Blackley, Jackie Mac and Rob Jones.

Big John McNamee has to be in there. No Beckenbauer on the ball but very very effective centre half. Remember when we had centre half's ???. We had big centre forwards (heid tha ba's) and big centre half's (bigger heid tha ba's) and the game was fun to watch ?

Tommy McIntyre? Worthy of consideration, even if he wouldn't be in the top 2. Elegant footballer and penalty taker, cup winner and good foil for Geebsie.

    Over to you.
I'm too young for Jackie Mac or Blackley, recall Rae but not with enough clarity to judge him either.

Sauzee is a cert so it's him plus 1

Jones, excellent in the air, good bet for 1st scorer, cup winner and guy lad...in the Hibs end for that game at Hamilton

Hanlon. Shoved around the back line, given some serious stick ( some deserved) earlier on in his career but developed into our number one centre back. That goal at tynie and the final made him immortal.

DMac, YLT alma mater, hard as nails ( RIP Don Cowie) brings something to the back line that can be lacking.A touch on the slow side?

Tommy McIntyre, composed cup winning goal scoring ball player. I really liked him.Possibly also too slow?

I'm going Hanlon. Developed into our outstanding centre back during a period of success. Could have left on a couple of occasions, Aberdeen certainly wanted him and right now, they're ahead of us, so that says something about him.

    Sauzee and Hanlon.

    Sauzee and Jones for me.

Sauzee - The best player I've seen in a Hibs shirt. Total no-brainier.

Jones - Solid. Captain. Scored goals. Won a cup (not that cup, but up until 2016 it was the only one I'd ever seen us win in the flesh). He got Hibs.

See Smith most days on his bike, he's a fireman, think he's based at TollX. Agree he was a good for Hibs and also 'got' us.

Other nominations, beginning with one that was slightly before my time, the Dane, John Madsen who was apparently very impressive and an exceedingly hard man.

Matthius Doumbe, who is rarely quoted in this things, possibly because he didn't play hundreds of games for Hibs. A quick centre back and reliable header of a ball.

Ulrik Laursen is a player we mostly perhaps think of as a wing back but also played central defence with distinction.

Franck Säuzee and Darren McGregor for me. I also like Gary Smith, very underrated player.
That be my pick. Daz smashing the opposition and King Franck with silky soccer. Tough leaving setvants like geebsie and big Gordon Rae, who I also love.
