Steven Whittaker for me. Nearly went for Willie Miller as I had a good wee chat with him a couple of months back.

Whilst this is a good and interesting poll, all of the nominations are from our own lifetimes so we can't really say that these players are the best "All time" Hibs right Back nominations. Someone like Jock Govan who was a Scotland internationalist and who played in the best Hibs team of all time would have to be seriously considered, even though I accept hardly anyone who reads or posts on this site will have ever seen him play. Anyway from the nominees given I have voted for John Brownlie.

Stood at the bar at a family party chatting about the League Cup win 1991. And Alex Miller who he was very complimentary about. Didn't go there re the Gunt bird...

Whittaker for me. He was so good in his first period. Also, I know 07 is slightly diminished in stature after 2016, but remembering lads from our own youth system like Whitty, Broon and Fletch strutting around Hampden with that cup always makes me smile ear to ear.

Was hard not picking SDG though. A more important cup final, for sure, but a bit more limited a player than Whitty in his pomp.

Where does Des Bremner fit in a team?

He slotted in at right back after JB took a sair yin but was really a midfielder.

Very much underrated by the Hibs support but boy did he go on to have a wonderful career down south.

    Honours

    Scotland

    1 full cap, 9 Under-23 caps
    Scottish Football League representative

    Hibernian

    Scottish League Cup finalists: 1974–75
    Scottish Cup finalists: 1978–79

    Aston Villa

    English Football League champions: 1980–81
    European Cup: 1981–82
    European Super Cup: 1982
    Intercontinental Cup runners-up: 1982years

1 (one) Scotland cap. Feckin joke!

    One of my favourite players.

Edit: I think this needs to be a wee honourable mention in the midfield!

John Brownlie would and should win that. But based on what I've seen probably Whitz. Or Willie Miller. Different styles and Miller wound cabbage the opposition.
