    3. Sproule's 2nd in his hat-trick v OldCo Rangers, must be the fastest breakaway goal ever

1/ Ralph Callachan's brilliant solo goal against Dundee at Easter Road in 1979..ironcally the season we were relegated. Hibs won 5-2 that day one of the few victories we enjoyed. The goal had to be seen to be believed. He dribbled past about 4 defenders and the goalkeeper before scoring. The stadium erupted and as the goal was scored just before half-time the crowd were still cheering the goal after the players had gone off for the break. still the best goal I have ever seen scored by a Hibs player. Wish it had been captured by the TV cameras.

2/ Russell Latapy's goal against Hearts in the 6-2 game at Easter Road in 2000. Just sheer brilliance from the wee magician to finish off a game which will go down in history. A great team and a great player at their peak.

3/ Tough choice, but I will go for Derek Riordan's cracker against Hearts at Easter Road in about 2003 I think. Game finished 1-1 anyway. He collected the ball out on the wing from a throw-in and proceeded to skelp it into the top corner from about 35 yards out. A great goal from one of the best Hibs strikers I have ever seen.

Chick Charnley's goal from his own half against Alloa in 1997 could have also made it into my top three, and numerous other great Hibs goals over the years. Very hard to narrow it down to three but certainly my first two choices were a shoe-in.

Brondby away - one big celebration of epic proportions. It had everything. A Scottish Cup party in the sun. An away win in Europe and another SDG leadership display of legend.

2-2 In the Scottish in 2016 at the Bus Shelter. It had everything. Drama, goals, drive, guts and desire. And a John Mcginn song earworm for months after the event. And possibly the second most important game in our history...

Hibs beating Celtc away 3-1 In 2005. Sproule and Broonie ripped them apart. My boy's first game at Parkheid and he remembers it to this day.

Honourable mentions to Anderlecht away, beating the Gunts in the Wee Cup in 2006 with 81% possession, the Shiels and OConnor 2-1 derby midweek win and the 2007 cup final

    Poop...wrong thread

Agree with most of the above but I’d like to add for your consideration:

Ivan’s first at Ibrox for the sheer drama of it.

Leigh’s disallowed Derby goal at ER was as good a free kick as I’ve ever seen.

John Rankin’s squiggler against the smellies. Time might have been kind and it was against the run of play but I remember thinking at the time that that was a great goal.

David Zitelli overhead kick up in Dundee.

    Latapy and the 6th

The Hibs tika taka goal by Malonga v Dumbarton, where every player touched the ball in the build up and we had the ball for something like 2 minutes probing and prodding before the opening came.

A Griffiths catalogue, Archigol v Hearts (ten men fecked the Hertz derby) and a ream of others also come to mind.

Latapy 6-2. Just a ridiculous goal.

Griffiths v Falkirk Scottish Cup semi final. Knew then he really has an unbelievable left peg.

Säuzee 0-3 Millennium Derby. The celebration...

Rob Jones Killie 5-1. As the snow was falling.
