Anyone taking that job is on a hiding to nothing....Kilmarnock seem to be constantly struggling year after year.
Watched the start of the highlights of their defeat to Ross County on Sportscene tonight and it looked like a closed doors match. Their stadium at Rugby Park is way too big for a start. Empty stands, sparse crowds. If ever a club has suffered from the hideous and suffocating influence of the Old Firm it's Kilmarnock. Ayrshire is a Hun stronghold....and Killie don't half come off worse for it.

Kilmarnock regularly had average attendances of over 9k even topping 11k in 98/99 - probably when rapidly climbing the leagues under Tommy Burns. The old firm factor doesn't explain why they fell to less than 4k recently.

    Average Kilmarnock Home League Attendances

Dunfermline stats are probably quite similar as their crowds were impressive during Leishman's reign.
Not sure about this Daily Record claim mind:

"When Leishman was Pars’ manager in season 1989/90, their average attendance for home matches was 13,500, making them the largest club in the country outside of the Old Firm".
