Are You A ST Holder Unable To Attend The Derby?

We have had several "sell outs" over the past 3-4 seasons; however it's not uncommon for there to be hundreds of empty seats during the match itself.

If you are a season ticker holder who is unable to attend the upcoming Derby, why not contact the ticket office on 0131 656 7066 and have you seat released for another supporter to purchase? This way, everyone benefits - fellow supporters, the club and the players.

It would be great to see ER as packed as possible and all unused ST released for sale to supporters looking for a ticket.

Good initiative Ross. With tickets sold out, it would be good to see potentially empty seats get filled and have the stadium as full as possible.

Even better if these cheating Gorgie $#@!s get creampied.

Everyone's words of support are helping me thru this. I appreciate every comment, prayer and positive thought.

Guys and girls I can't emphasise how much your words are encouraging and helping me. This battle has barely started but I know you'll be by my side every step of the way - it's giving me great strength - Shaun 16/03/2016

If no' read anything official yet, but on my laptop the official sites map has been completely red for a sell out since late thursday night.

I think there are some hospitality left for the Gunts match.

Few weeks before the game and completely sold out.

(Less than 1900 seats for Aberdeen tae).

    tremendous.

I'm not using my 2 tickets so if anyone wants them please PM me, I'd rather they went to someone I know on here before releasing them back to Hibs.

    I am doing the same.

Giving them back to club, doesn't that mean they get 2 admission prices for 1 seat???? or would the club thank me and give me voucher for price of ticket to use in club shop???

Have this problem quite regular as I live in Sunderland but know one really interested when plenty empty seats available.

Not reimbursing people who give up their tickets. Or maybe they are and just don’t want to release details.

Personally don't see how it is a pr disaster, pretty sure this has always been the case that they don't reimburse you

My first thoughts on the "if you give your seats back as an ST holder then surely you should get some kind of recompense" were c'mon, you're no using the seat, free it up for someone else to use and the club benefit with more money. However, thinking back when I bought tickets last season for a cup game (ie. not on ST) and couldn't attend as my mate was ill, I took them back to the ticket office and got my money back for them. Is there a difference?

I think so, yeah. Buying a ST is a) a commitment of funds upfront that in theory could already be spent, and b) is a cast-iron guarantee of that seat for any and all games.

Buying a random cup ticket is not the same thing.

Perhaps if this situation occurred every game then perhaps this could be looked at. In a few hundred fans that can't go are happy to release thier seats, then is more income for the club.May help land Moult in January

I didn’t use the word disaster - and I’ve never taken cash on the occasions I’ve passed on my season ticket. It’s unrealistic to expect everyone to be so altruistic though. I think if the club offered a £10 off a £30 spend in the clbshop voucher for example, people would be more likely to return seasons not being used.
