Midlife Crisis; specifically retaking up Skateboarding to annoy EGB out of retirement

I turned 40 this week. And, decided to go buy myself a new skateboard. First time in 20 years. Seems to have gone down better as a midlife crisis with the mrs than shagging a lassie half my age or buying a big red phallic car.

Anyone nearing, hitting or currently expressing their impending half-life doom via ridiculous purchases or throwing caution to the wind of the scorn of others?

    Vive le me.

40 next month, thinking going all out on a new pair of football boots, reckon i've got 5 to 10 left in my knees - manage 1 or 2 games of 7s a week.

....and a big red phallic car.

I bought a big car, a 7 series BMW. It was the ultimate driving pleasure. I don't regret it!

    It was silver Kenny.

I'm going to buy a massive old 70s or 80s Mercedes (hopefully green) as a pointless second car. Not quick or showy but not particularly practical either. Ive always admired them so why not?

    I'm building an arcade machine.

I've already done the guts of it (runs through the living room telle perfectly well when I hook it up atm). 1000+ games on it, everything from Space Invaders and Frogger right up mid-90s stuff like Mortal Kombat and Final Fight. Got some console games on there too for bouts of Sensi Soccer, PGA etc...

I just need to do the woodwork and wire up a joystick pannel.

It'll be 80s/90s video game nostalgia nirvana when I'm done!

It's amazing how little tech you actually need for it. The whole thing is running off a Rasberry Pi computer the size of a credit card and a 32GB SD card I took out an old digital camera.
