Hibs are standing on the brink of history...
Pleased we have drawn Celtic in the semi although I wasn't really bothered who we got.
Nobody will expect Hibs to win therefore the pressure is off. We would have to beat Celtic at some point if we were going to win the cup and we have a better chance of winning at the semi-final stage although I am under no illusions as to how difficult a task it is going to be. Hibs will also pick up a tidy sum for reaching the semis with the money pooled between the four clubs with two of them being the Old Firm. Near to a full house for both semis I reckon.

Hopefully it'll be a sensible enough kick off time to allow us to enjoy being at the "pub" end of the stadium for a wee change....
Won't they both be lunch time kick offs? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I thought we would draw Celtic because having avoided them in the cup for a some time. I guess we'll be in the Huns end, even though we were drawn first. I thought it was sh*te at that end, in the 2013 SC final. Lenny was their manager then of course. I think we should go there thinking we have a chance of winning but be under no illusions how hard it will be. We won't get any where near as much time against them as we have been getting against other SPL clubs. Sadly the game will come too soon for Daz McGregor unless he makes a wonder recovery. Respect but not fear should be the motto. I think it's a an ideal chance for Barts to get stuck in and spoil the party. Was going to say 5 at the back, but can that be achieved? Don't lose an early goal should be the key and start making their fans impatient. Perhaps catch them after a gruelling Champions League away match. SNAP! Guess who they are playing the Wednesday before.... Bayern Munich away!

Hope we get 'our' end. 1st drawn out should get the choice.
Not all Hearts fans are stupid
But stupid people tend to be Hearts fans
We will beat them!!!!!
Someome has to beat um? Why no us?
Celtc play Bayern away on the Wednesday prior to playing us on presumably the Saturday which narrows the odds a bit I guess. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Can't possibly think NL will play his normal expansive game against Celtc so he will need to find a way to flood the midfield but plenty options to do this and a fully motivated Efe,Stokesy and McGinn should give us a punchers chance.
I guess we will be at the other end of the ground for once which will feel strange but it has better transport links and pubs and we should be able to sell 15K plus tickets so very good atmosphere.
Loads of potential media angles in the build up most of them a bit bum chummy in fact you will no be able to move from the perceived love fest all the way from Leigh to Lenny and former players everywhere you look.

Have these ***** ever met in the first round?
I suppose if we had to meet the gunts in these post cheating days it would have to be in an early round!
Space to let
Scottish Cup the last two seasons, Rangers and Celtic weren't "kept apart". Both draws they came out against each other. Don't get this nonsense about draws being fixed.
Anyway, if we are going to win the cup, we'd more than likely have had to play Celtic at some stage.
I'm going to be away that week-end so will miss the semi-final unfortunately...
Really hope the game is on the Saturday as we play Hearts on the Tuesday night.

$#@! the Celtc, we have nothing to fear. We'll be the underdogs so bring it on.
And we should get the Sir David Gray stand - about time they stopped this Huns/Celtc end $#@!e.

They'll want the bigger tie on the Sunday, being Hibernian v Celtic but that would mean changing back the fixture already moved from Wednesday to Tuesday a few days later.

Been reported as Saturday 21st on various social media sites, means the Hearts game stays where it is hopefully, big week of football, that's what we wanted 💪🏻

I'm going to go against the grain a bit here and say I'd rather have drawn either of the other two. It would have meant more potential for another day out at Hampden for the fans and another pay day for the club. I'd rather someone else had a crack at Celtic in the semi. There's always the change they could have been put out.
Having said that, Hibs certainly have a chance in a one-off game with the like of Stokes and to some extent, Murray, in the ranks. I've concerns about the lack of McGregor being a big factor.
