Attended the HSL AGM this evening. Some exciting and ambitious developments to come. I've listed below what I noted down:

Investment in website to improve look/feel and functionality to existing and prospective members.

Club & HSL to improve joint marketing. Acknowledged that there hasn't been much but this is in part due to limited opportunities to fit in all along with Club's comms/marketing agenda.

HSL looking at the process of board elections which are due soon. They are open to suggestions from their membership on how to approach this.

Also looking at ways to engage/become more visible to "offline" Hibs supporters (ie those that don't use social media, internet, email etc)

A couple of points to note:

The HSL board have worked hard to keep costs down so that 99% of every donation goes towards buying shares.

Finally... (and I hope I don't steal HSL's thunder) but a very generous and heartfelt gesture was made by one of their directors...

Just general chat about how they are open to various approaches for the whole election process for new HSL board members.

I think all the directors need to step down in January. I think the club have control over who the new directors can be and have special rights on having Hibs directors on the hsl board.

Lots of "looking at" but I'd rather hear of action taken.

I was going to suggest they need some innovative thinkers, proactive approach but in reality an average joe would improve things.

I think they have failed miserably on the aim to raise money/encourage donations and they don't even get the basics right.

They did acknowledge that and are disappointed they've not grown the membership as much as they could. I think the website upgrade should help. They have also tried a leaflet drop in the past to target those not online but think they'll need to try something different to get a better impact.

They'll probably announce it soon but Charlie donated his Hibs shares to HSL as he 100% believes this is the way forward.

He mentioned that HSL should be about long term commitment. He's worried about what's going on across the City. He thinks that in a few years time when FoH have helped to pay the stand off etc that the contributions they receive will go straight to improving our neighbour's first team. They mentioned FoH take in about £120k per month in contributions.

Yip. Them having another 1.2 Million to put in their player budget isn't to be dismissed.

HSL has been very poor from a PR perspective. Having a non Hibby as Chairman of HSL was a poor poor choice.

I bought shares direct as I thought the HSL model was complicated. And their communications with those making contributions appears appalling.

Throw in Dempster and Dunn. And the loyalty points shambles they created.HSL needs massive revamp with new directors.Individual fans have more than double the shares HSL owns. That deserves proper representation on the board . Someone like a big g how for me would represent the fans and not be a board patsie
