    Dundeh Aweh....

I popped into the ticket office at Lunchtime to buy another ticket for Sunday, shuffling around to get three seats together. What was pleasantly surprising just how many Hibs fans are heading up. Looks like a couple of sections are sold out give or take single seats and other sections appeared half full. Well done Hibs fans given the stupid kick off time, the live on telly thing and the crazy high prices.

    See you behind the goals.

Good to see a big Hibs crowd going up.

Hard game to predict. I wish Dundee had some points on the board already as they will see a home match against the newly promoted club as a great chance to get their season off and running. They have a few good players and we will have to play well to win. After last Saturday's reality check against Hamilton it would be good to see Hibs approaching this game with a professional attitude and real will to win from the start. Have to admit to being a bit concerned at how porous our defence has looked since the start of the campaign and this has to be rectified. I would like to see David Gray restored to right-back and Whittaker given a more advanced role. I hope Lennon has been drilling the defence this week because any repeat of our visit to footballing blunderland like we saw last Saturday will surely consign us to another defeat.

    Going for a draw....1-1

Three points essential now, if we want to stay in touch with the pack that's already starting to separate at the top.

Kinda sinking in now - not just no easy games in this division, which is the old cliche. It's more the fact that, as we discovered to our cost last week, we cannot afford to be sluggish or off the pace in any game or we will quickly find it beyond us, whereas in the Championship a lot more games were more easily clawed back.

Dundee have no points, but there's enough quality in their team to hurt us. Get after them early doors, get a couple in front, and then be professional and see it out. 2-0 Hibs.

Time to show folk that last week truly sad just a blip, we're far far better than that, gotta show it tomorrow.
Hopefully we concede early to kick us off.....

Got to start off on the front foot is another well used cliché but it's about time we did and went in front in a league game. If we do this the morn then I'm confident

You also get punished more for mistakes in this league...tends not to happen too often in the Championship as hardly any of the teams down there have got players good enough to take advantage. In the top league defensive organisation and resilience under pressure is much more important, that's why I was so alarmed at our defending against Hamilton. We have good defenders at Hibs, they just have to be able to work together as a single unit.

How many handball penalty shouts were we denied?!

Thought we dominated totally, still learning in this division.

Much better performance should have won. Not sure finishing with one striker was the best idea!

We dominated that game but why are we so poor at decision making in the final third and why are the shots we do get in so powder puff?

Also corners? Deary me. Liam Henderson would be ashamed at the so called attempts at corners today.

1-1 is a poor result, no matter how much people go on about us being the better team.

Sounds like we should have won...never mind, a draw away from home in this league is a reasonable result against anyone.
That's two wins, a draw and a defeat from the first four games. Not too bad IMO. I think this is the sort of sequence of results we can expect to see from Hibs throughout the season.

Agreed. Reckon a fair few of the players have been caught off guard by the step up? We've done well against top sides in recent years, but perhaps highly-charged cup games are a different animal to "bread and butter" top division games. We are getting nothing for free, that's for sure.

Never a pen, their keeper gets MOM, very unlucky as we had the grip of the game for long spells and with better finishing we would have been out of sight.

Kris Boyd also thought the Huns would win easy against us the other week.

As NL said Fanny Warburton's bid was laughable, although if our valuation is met he could be going.

Are you joking? We dominated the game, their keeper got MOM on another day we would have done them over comfortably, it was never pen yet we had good shouts for ours, calm doon for $#@! sake we are only four games in.

Does stevie not say we dominated the game?? Which we did
We also wasted a few chances and had 15 corners without creating many chances from them
Play like that and we will win more than we loose that's for sure

Maybe I picked him up wrong so sorry @Steve20, although it sounded a bit doom and gloom TBH it was a much better performance than last week.

The keeper got MOM but our finishing was woeful, half of the shots we had were soft or were straight at him,
We cantered along today with no real bite, it was like a Bounce game,
They never looked like scoring and we should've buried them with our possession

Barker was impressive on the left, thought Matulevicius should have come on for the last 15 minutes or so to give us a different option up front.

McGinn isn't a great corner taker, it was good to see Hibs try something different but sadly none of it came off.

We should have had a penalty, and theirs was a dive (although Whittaker shouldn't have gone to ground).

Just watched the highlights on Sportscene...Hibs completely dominant, playing some lovely attacking football. Bain the Dundee goalkeeper played a blider and saved them from a deserved defeat. Never a penalty, but I don't think our claim was a penalty either. Brilliant goal from Stokes. Barker looked impressive...a wee bit unlucky with his chance right near the end right through on goal, he just held on to the ball for too long.

As I said I think any draw away from home is a decent result in this league. Yes, we dominated possession and had lot of chances but sometimes it just isn't meant to be and the opposition goalkeeper just has one of those days. I think we are looking fine just now. I'm confident if McGinn goes before Thursday night we will have a proper replacement lined up. I was hoping we could hold on to John for another season but I fear the lure of English football with it's status and financial rewards will be too much for him to resist.
