    Parking Dens Park

Going to Dens park for the first time this weekend. Where is the best place to get parked in Dundee? Cheers

I usually park up at Clepington Road or a side street off it. Then it's a short walk down the hill to the ground.

Couple of decent pubs in Clepington Road too, although the butcher who used to warm up a couple of home baked steak pies for me leaving The Clep is sadly no longer there.........

Couple of doors along from the Clep.
    It's closed now.

Couple of pints in the Clep, couple of pies...... that's entertainment.
The game was often $#@! though.

Used to enjoy the Clep. Was that the one with a real fire and sculptures of Laurel & Hardy (which I used to covet)?
It was a step up from the Ambassador across the road. Don't know if that's still there?
Last few years I've been going by train and taking a taxi from the Phoenix, so not been up that end of the grounds for yonks.

The Clep was very fond of it's 'heavy' and as I recall, one guy just stood pouring pints as his colleagues handed them over to thirsty Hibbies.
Woe betide anyone who asked for lager though, which was grudgingly served as some sort of exotic $#@!tail.

Sproule3 now in Sydney (the place not the fella) and I used to enjoy the trips to far flung places like Dundee and the like, although far too much beer was consumed.

    Changed days now.

Sadly not, Mrs Shrink has arranged for some work to be done at Chez Shrink and this will require my attendance.

    Thanks anyway.
