I'd have suggested a bigger discount than 10% considering how many season tickets sold. Reduce the price to 15 quid and I reckon you'd attract upwards of 10k season ticket holders, 18 quid might get about 7k. That would be 24k more in revenue plus the extra pies and pints sold in that tent thingy.

Where's @SlovSam when you need him?

Unless I missed the club taking catering of pies in house, then there's no direct benefit to them of selling more. It's been a franchise for many moons.

Livi need to agree the cost and 20 for a quarter final not live on TV is fair in my view.

Hibs agreeing to cut 25% of their take is unrealistic. It wouldn't result in many more fans going either.

Yes 20 as a base price was to be expected. What I'm hinting at is the payback for the massive season ticket sales we've made. Maybe it wouldn't get 3k more of them to come out on a Tuesday night or maybe it would, but it would be a nice gesture that could foster a feeling of appreciation that long term gets the club more renewals next May? Wasn't exactly a massive turnout for any of the previous games so a rethink on marketing strategy maybe needed.

Of course you are probably right that Livi could say no, but in that case they agreed to 10% so might have been ok with 25%.

Today's theme for me is fans being treated like people and part of the team😍 and the club becoming a bit more adventurous and less corporate in their approach to things. (I am definitely not suggesting we go and buy a hotel again)

It's not just up to Hibs though. Livvy will be looking for a pay cheque in their last game in the competition!

Something that might keep them going beyond this season.

To be honest I'm thinking our club is getting a bit back to appearing that money is king. If you know what I mean.

Yeah I appreciate it's important but I think generating goodwill will reap its rewards. I think we as a support still need a bit of molly coddling.

Don't think it's too bad a price but would've been better if we followed the well vs dons one of £10 and £5 and got more fans in

For the simple reason they are getting TV wedge.

You know that's made me think!

Perhaps general admission prices should be discussed and agreed by all clubs in the round, or something like that.

It would remove the blame culture around individual clubs.

Does that really make a difference?? Never see us drop prices on televised games.

Massive difference as the reduction in ticket prices would be offset by the TV income for a live cup game.

League games being televised makes no difference to TV money received by each club remember. Cup games is money directly into the coffers and Hibs and opposition are far more likely to agree a reduction especially when higher ticket prices could encourage fans to just watch it live on TV instead for fek all.
