It'll be interesting to see whether they continue their much vaunted strategy of developing young, supposedly promising managers or whether they u-turn and go for a safe option such as Houston. My instant reaction would be that they need to go safe but I suspect a combination of Levein's stubbornness and a lack of money might lead the to another young prospect.
As long as they keep their hands off Grant Murray.

The coward that is Craig Levein is still around and hopefully he is forced by Ann Budge to take on the job....

    HSL is getting a relaunch.

    Levein won't take it on.......

Hertz don't have enough midfielders to play 1-4-6...........

Their system was built to promote their own coaches, which is why Cathro was something of a surprise. But if the cupboard is bare... Maybe going for a plook instead of a person will be the choice.

He won't command much of a wage, given that he's at Falkirk, and they can always put out another plastic farmyard animal if the Bairns need compensated.

The only reason they went for Cathro was because both us and the Huns were purportedly showing an interest in him while our managerial wheels had fallen off. Levein's concern at our result on Saturday whilst his own club were getting emptied out the league cup was telling.
    Game's rigged, why bother?

They went for him because he has been Potters pet project all the way back to Dundee United days. They go that far back...

Not so sure Houston will be next manager. Few Arabs I know say there wasn't much love lost between Houston and Levein when Levein left United.

heard on radio that their foundation is collection £120k a month...pretty impressive if true though
I've been hearing more and more about D/D's being cancelled - there's even a thread about them on 'Sick-bag' -

Cancelling of direct debits. - The Terrace - Jambos Kickback

'I've seen on my Facebook four separate people cancelling their direct debits today as a protest against what's going on at the club, some seriously heavy hitters as well who go home and away every week, if people like these fans are cancelling direct debits, then it sends out a serious message to the club as they see it as the only way the club will listen.

What are people's thoughts on this?'

Dear Fuds, my thoughts on this are - this is just the start !. You have a support that the vast majority of them do NOT know what supporting a team that has to 'Play Within It's Means' is like - '30+ years of Other People's Money' has instilled habits/beliefs/perceptions (ALL of them greatly misplaced) about their club that they will just not be able to cope with, let alone the shock to their systems when they witness the standards/levels of reguarly fielding teams you can barely afford. The D/D's being cancelled are an indication that the 'Phew' factor, the factor responsible for the D/D's/ FOH and all the other money-schemes, is now on the wane - ONE bad-patch is all it'll take for the current 'wee trickle' of cancellations to become a flood !

    FINGERS CROSSED !

There are all the rules in place but as usual they are follow followed by a rule that says they can ignore the rules stated above!

To be fair the Budgie did say in one of her earlier missives that agreement had been reached with the authorities to change home venues if their not a hope in hell estimate for the completion of the Lego stand was missed.

I suspect the new competition date and them playing sevco at the 60k seater stadium is no coincidence.

Let's be honest. It will be the last time they will have the opportunity to get a bigger crowd than us.

These cantz get away with murder every time. Not for them a week or two delay from the original planned opening on 9 September. No, the delay is suddenly 7 weeks and takes them right up until a final Murrayfield game against Rangers on 28 October. Seats are on a slow boat from China indeed.

A boy on .net posted a few days back - before this was any more than a rumour - that there was a legal contract in place for £25k a game rent of Murrayfield with steward costs to be paid by HoMFC and catering income pocketed by SRU.

Yip, a pittance if true and do the maths what income they could get from all ticket sales over and above their season ticket numbers. Will be interested to see how many tickets the hun hordes will be allowed as there will be Neanderthals from up and down the country making the most of a day out on that one. They'll just buy from HoMFC in the unlikely event of ticket numbers being capped.

Handy additional income that when there's a funding shortfall and cost overrun for the stand to cover.

Budge apparently had to backtrack from the original grand design when realistic costs became apparent - after going round the houses trying to get the job done for £12m and continually being told by different firms it was not possible to deliver what she wanted at the cost she wanted. The stand was then scaled back but they still managed to overrun on costs. That explains the difference in the planned view from the top (castle) and the actual view (school). Escalators were also binned?

How many will be at the Hun game at Murrayfield do ya reckon then? 40,000+? Probably methinks.

When Celtc played there twice 3 years ago. The games were played in front of 39,099 (KR Reykjavik) and 30,063 (Legia Warsaw) This is the gunts last chance to have the last highest attended fitba game in the Capital and I reckon they will flock to it along with the Hun hordes.

very surprised nobody is pressing the SPFL on this.

the teams that play them at murrayfield undoubtedly have an advantage over the teams that play them at PuddleDrinkers Towers.

i would've thought they would have to play at murrayfield until every team had played them their once to make it fair?

furthermore PBS is playable - they played 3 matches their last month? why are they allowed to move?

My instant reaction would be that they need to go safe but I suspect a combination of Levein's stubbornness and a lack of money might lead the to another young prospect.
I might punt a fiver on daly... levein hasn't punted "the carrier of the notes" so obviously trusts him (and he can carry notes)

They shouldn't be allowed to gain from the Murrayfield fixtures financially. If they are able to then you can bet this will be a scenario the gunts have deliberately engineered so as to help paying off the build of the 4th bus shelter. I dare say, given the opportunity, certain other SPL clubs wouldn't mind switching their home old firm fixtures to larger capacity stadia to maximise income. Where does it end? Maybe the capacity should be restricted to match the Savilledome? One for our fans reps to raise?

They shouldn't be allowed to gain from the Murrayfield fixtures financially. If they are able to then you can bet this will be a scenario the gunts have deliberately engineered so as to help paying off the build of the 4th bus shelter. I dare say, given the opportunity, certain other SPL clubs wouldn't mind switching their home old firm fixtures to larger capacity stadia to maximise income. Where does it end? Maybe the capacity should be restricted to match the Savilledome? One for our fans reps to raise?
Exactly, it rankles that they can get so many things in their favour all the time. Wont be the biggest crowd ever for a game in the capital though as Easter Road will always hold that. But no doubt we will be "treated" to 20k of the blue beast flocking to town

    while PBS is PLAYABLE.!!!

thats the point - there is no need whatsoever to move any of the matches - other than for finances.

    the pitch is playable

    the pitch is safe

the problem hearts would have to reimburse 4k fans for 4 matches. (£20 a match so 320K)

Despite the (lack of) morality of the Gunts situation, you just cannae win with attendances in Scotland: either you don't get enough of your own fans in the gate because of crap results (often at hands of OF) or you are envious of other clubs getting bigger attendances just for moving their games elsewhere, temporary or not.

Would it make sense for both Hibs and Gunts to make use of Wurrayfield - for DERBIES ONLY - if attendances of over 30,000 (as many as you want from both camps!) could be expected?

(Nose being bandaged in advance of being cut off by own support here! )

Oh this is definitely engineered for their advantage. Budge even says so in her spiel. "While this is disappointing, the cooperation of the management and staff at the SRU means we can accommodate all, indeed even more, of our supporters in fine style at the national rugby stadium."

They are so blatant. I suppose it comes natural to a club with no shame.

Chancers. If their pitch is playable their games should be played at Tynecastle and they take the hit. It's their own fault they screwed up and caused a delay.

Have ya seen the 70's style office block monstrosity that they are building at Tiny? Jesus Christ! It's horrible.

A wee quiz. Match the places to the pictures.

    A. Wernham Hogg. Slough
    B. Tiny
    C. Whitburn Academy
    D. Dilapidated Building.

    A.

    B.

Haha! What a monstrosity. The Gunts appear to have gone for the 1960's/70's office block look. Bit of the Shrubhill House look to it, total eyesore. Presume there's still some tarting-up to be done but that will not age well

I would've expected them to fit as much stand into the limited space they have but there's a fair gap in the corner. Ties in with the reluctance from them to confirm details on the final capacity figure. They were never claiming to be higher than ours but I'd be delighted if they come in under the 20k mark which will leave them seething.

Ugly stand for an ugly (sub) species.

The offenders just turn a blind eye to their shortcomings. Short being the operative word as the stand is too short to offer the castle views once promised. Too short a run off area to be compliant for hosting a higher level of football game as well.

    $#@!S.

He's more than likely just had a call from the lassie in the wages-office telling him that Hearts have 'forgotten' to pay all the wages of those involved in the new stand .............................

apparently to have gates to let vehicles and larger items on to the pitch (much like we have at the corner of FF and east).

i would've thought a tunnel like hampden or parkhead would've been more in keeping - rather than a 30ft gap at the end of a stand.

    tunnel it is

actually impressive in the drawings - yet the thing they are building looks p1sh - odd - usually the otherway round

Based on what I've read about this "project" they probably never factored in the lost seats for the tunnel - or ignored it - when claiming to be increasing the capacity to 20k plus.

    Megastand indeed.

Here's the seats they are installing in the "Skyline Lounge". Upper level are of course *Castle view and cost a premium.

*Tyne-Castle High School view as with every other $#@!ing window.

Contrary to legend Tiny isn't that tiny after all. There is mushroom to fit them all in once the stand is (eventually) finished. Look with your eyes at the evidence...

Found this on mong-media (of all places !!) having a dig at their 'wee Bros' - have they had a fallout ?

    https://footballtaxhavens.wordpress....-admin-part-1/

As I've explained on .net, I don't really understand business-lingo and spreadsheet-data makes me dyslexic but I DO know that -

'Out of the creditors total of £28.424m, £27.472m were written off. Plus Ann Budge charged HoM £552k for setting up the BIDCO and supplying the £2.4m loan used to do the Ukio deal:

552k out of £2.5m means Ann Budge charged them roughly 25% for the privilege of spending her money - unlike them, she's no mug but she can certainly spot them !
