They've already slammed the cooncil once so no reason to suspect they will want the 4 and a half mill back.

Erm, assuming it's them of course I'm just starting the rumour

    Face painting and bake sales will soon be back at Tynecastle, they must be toiling for money again;

“Every pledger who persuades a pal to sign up will go into a prize draw for a very special piece of the Tynecastle pitch – the exact spot from which Rudi Skacel scored the first goal in the 4-0 win against Hibs on August 7, 2005.

Hard to believe they still hold the big nose barman (AKA "sweet prince") in such high esteem.

So they miserable gits have not relaid the pitch in over 12 years???? Its a tattie field most of the time but the tight gits clearly prefer that. But seriously fir a terrible pitch i find that shocking

Taking a young left back on loan from Man U and looking at a permanent deal for a 6ft 4inch Dutch battering ram forward for hoofball purposes.

That's the derby planning for a scared Levein kicking in.

Fair play it’s ambitious, but he’s barely kicked a ball for months so may take him a while to get up to speed.

Still expect Kilmarnock to join the race, and The Rangers to make some sort of cashless “emotional” offer.
We wanna be free, we wanna be free to do what we wanna do, and we wanna get loaded, and we wanna have a good time... That's what we're gonna do

Naismith states that when he moves back to Scotland it won't be about finances so that means Hearts and The Rangers (any club really) do have a shot at landing him.

Naismith would be a great signing , no doubt about it .
But if he is coming back to Scotland , simply for football reasons, why would he go to the gunts? He obviously had dealings with Potter with Scotland , so yet again , why would he go there ? Not many folk in fitba circles have much good to say about the big lush .

Anyway if he gets past Barts, big Effe or Daz would soon slow him down , give him a reason to go down which he seems to particularly enjoy.

On that note , has anyone else come across gunts who claim SJM is a "diver"??? I've had a few in the last few weeks trying to get this myth going .
Seems a bizarre claim considering I don't think I have ever seen him throw himself to the deck, quite the opposite actually.
Bunch of deluded fannies , i shouldn't be surprised.

Knew that would be coming - it’ll depend if they can offer Norwich what they’re looking for.

True - he’ll go where he’s most likely to get a game and enjoy his football so he can put himself in the shop window for the summer.

Was he not one of the players that jumped ship when they tried to TUPE them over from Hun mk1 to Hun mk2? If so I can't see them being very accepting of his return. Would rather see him go to the Ayrshire huns to push the Gunts closer to the edge

Looks like that generous offer did not persuade the huns to sign him. It appears he will be signing for the diet huns.

Hate to say it, but Naismith and that other clown up front might not be a bad partnership.
There’s rumours the clown may be on the way out.

He's been playing for Norwich under 23s. Scored two the other day. He'll be fit enough to perform up here. He's a good wee player and one that will cause us problems on Sunday. We need to hope our side start creating and then scoring more chances than they do.

This game will be far tougher than some folk think. We hardly created a thing, after the goal that wasn't given, in the last match.

I honestly never thought he was that great, bud.

The Scottish Premier League is his level, and he'll do a decent enough job, but I don't think it's the coup some are selling it as.

    Just my opinion, of course.

Most would agree he's a good signing. But I think there are big question marks over match fitness, given he's not kicked a ball in a first team competitive game in a long time. Hopefully he won't hit the ground running (will he even start on Sunday?)

As long as Big Daz welcomes him back to Scotland early doors, I won’t be too concerned about his impact on Sunday.

It’s all about what Hibs do - we know what Hearts are all about, so we have to be more creative & clinical that last time.

    Can't argue with that really.
What I will say though, is they haven't created anything against us either, he's not gonna do it all on his own and they won't suddenly start playing football because of him and he won't stand a chance against any CB we have in the serial game.

Also, didn't he miss out on a summer move because he failed a fitness test (while not injured) there's definitely an issue somewhere with him.

I'd have liked him here though too, but he wouldn't be the main guy here. He might be there.

He is a great signing for them, but a signing that’s not kicked a ball since August with an ankle ligament injury so he should severely be lacking match sharpness, is have a couple of our players in hard 50/50 early doors and test his ankle out since he’s now one of the worst you can get, a hun gunt

Good signing to be fair. However, how does he fit into a Levein side that is physical and insist on playing hoooofball? I’d like to think we have enough in efe, daz and Hanlon to deal with that all day long.

No doubt Naismith improves the Gunts' squad. But that's not difficult with that squad of Tom Kyte.

A gunt acquaintance told me they had spent all their Walker money on hiring Naismith! I scoffed and told him nobody would be daft enough to spunk that much money on a 5 month loan deal. He assured me they had.

Neil Lennon: Hibs couldn’t have afforded Steven Naismith

Read more at: Neil Lennon: Hibs couldn’t have afforded Steven Naismith - The Scotsman

There's a thread on dotnet about this. Lots of folk saying he's on anything between £5k and £15k.

All this while apparently work on the new stand is at, err humm, a standstill.

I can only imagine Potter has been begging/pleading with Budgie for the funds assuring her that it's what they need to beat us tomorrow - guaranteed - and a cup final.

I wonder if, once we've knocked them out, he'll still have a job?

    - - - Updated - - -

Potter that is. Naismith will still collect £300k or so for playing in a string of meaningless matches.

What a gamble on a player who is 32 this year. He's on stupid money at Norwich. Even if they're covering 10% that's still more than most SPL players. One cuddle from Marvin might pour that investment down the drain at Foundation Plaza. Then, we know Potter likes a gamble...
