    Adult Soccer 7s Tournament

In my 'other job', I help run Craigroyston Community Youth Football Club.
This summer we are hosting an adult Soccer 7s Tournament down at our club facilities at Muirhouse Parkway.

We are looking for 8 teams to compete in the tournament. At the moment we have 5, possibly 6, already signed up or awaiting confirmation.
Teams like Erin Hibs, Soccerforchildren(charity), and various other teams made up of current Amateur players and coaches from our own youth teams.

We still have a couple of spaces available if anyone is interested in putting forward a Bounce team, or even just a team made up of your own mates, or you may already play for a 7s team who might want to take part.

The tournament will take place on sunday 6th August, its a one day tourney, and we are using a simple format of 8 teams in 2x groups of 4, playing each other in 30 minute games.

You will play a minimum of 3x Group Matches
Top two teams from each group progress to semi, then final.
Trophy, and medals, up for grabs.
There is a tournament fee of £70.
Each team is allowed to register a maximum 10 player squad
Players can only player for one team in the tourney.
    No 'transfers' on match day
    10.00am kick off
all games played on grass pitches

If you fancy it, let me know and I'll send you an app form with all the tourney details.

just for clarity, in case someone fancies it, we wont be using full size 11s goals. The games will be played on grass Soccer 7s pitches(60y x 40y), which is about half the size of a full size pitch. The goals will be a mix of Soccer 7s posts(6ft) with 11s crossbars(24ft). Gives guys something to aim for, as well as giving the keeper a chance(even if he's a shorte'rse).

6 definite teams, so still space for a last minute entry or 2

Can get you a keeper I think, decent enough, he is unwaged so wouldn't be able to pay though, I will cover him if need be.

Ex Scotland homeless world cup keeper, and Hibby.

We really enjoyed it this morning thanks for organising.

A few well kent faces from Scottish football in the winning team including an ex Hibs goalie.

An enjoyable day, but I'm sure our game against Royburn finished 6-2. Weather was fairly kind to us too. Would definitely be up for entering a team again next year so keep in touch!
    Its Liam Henderson to deliver...
And David Gray has scored! The captain!
Hibs are standing on the brink of history!

We really enjoyed it this morning thanks for organising.

A few well kent faces from Scottish football in the winning team including an ex Hibs goalie.

    cheers guys

we will be organising another one next year, maybe a bit earlier/nearer end of season as opposed to start. A few teams that were potentials pulled out because guys on holiday, so we'll take that into account for the timing of the next one.
Yeh, the eventual winners, soccer4children, had some very good players in their team, recognised a few faces but couldnt put names to them all, except Buzz(6-6 'Well)
Posted a team pic above but there's a code error preventing it from showing, hopefully J'mon will sort it.

Darren, you're spot on mate re score v Royburn, typo from me.

Will keep you all posted on next one.
