No trying to be a dik, just think we need to take the tension out of things, if we still have the same challenges/concerns come the start of the season then we can all fall out properly👍

A simple question as to what input Petrie has regarding signing and negotiations is construed as negative and slating Hibs. Every other question went answered, why not let the fans know the truth. I want to know exactly what role Petrie has during while signing players. And no I'm not going to send a PM directly. Other questions were answered here on the public forum. I just want a straight answer from Tracey, our Hibs supporter representative.

I agree with you this time. You've posed a question, a loaded question IMHO, but a question of our fans rep nevertheless and it warrants an answer.

Personally I don't have a problem if the chief executive (or whatever his title is) has a sanction over any aspect of club business, including tranfer fees, as it's his job to ultimately keep the club on an even keel.
    Game's rigged, why bother?

Hi, sorry for the late response. Missed your question the first time you posted it but have seen the additional posts. Wasn't on my phone last night otherwise would have responded.

Mr Petrie is still our Chairman but as we all know he's taken a more hands off approach. When recruiting new players it's left to recruitment team and the manager. Obviously legal documentation is required to be signed by either the Chief Exec or Chairman.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I understand he has taken a back seat and recruitment is left to others to deal with. Once a player is targeted does Mr Petrie deal with the player and agent negotiating finances and wages or is this all on LD with Petrie having no input?

She just told you it's the recruitment team and manager, with the final documentation being signed by either Leeanne or him.

I read the answer and fully understood it. The part about recruitment was clear. LD and the management have full say and input. What wasn't entirely clear was wether those mentioned concluded the deal and negotiated the deal. Sounds like Rod finializes it, I just wanted to know if he has any part in dealing with the player and agent when discussing wages and finances.

Fair enough. Why is Rod's involvement of such a concern? Like i said before, I'm pretty sure it's incumbent upon him to make sure any money spent is spent wisely.

Tracey what's the story with the NHS Health Hub in the Famous Five stand?

am not asking about BTG which I never used but how area will work in future with the new health facility, has it been set up as an income generator for Hibs?

are Hibs Community Foundation ( who currently do very little ) involved?

Personally I don't want Petrie having anything to do with the way the budget is spent or negotiations with players and agents. IMO he run us in to the ground and eventually we ended up in the second tier of Scottish football for three years. Again IMO he's nothing but cheap and doesn't go the extra mile when needed for certain players. I'm more concerned about the product on the pitch than what's in the bank.

i don't believe them. Berry and his agent were at East Mains on the Sunday, 100%, undisclosed fee would have been reported if the deal had gone through(suiting Cambridge) deal unexpectedly broke down. Why did they travel if no fee had been accepted and why haven't Cambridge reported us for tapping up?

And there it is. You have an agenda against Rod (as if it wasn't obvious anyway)
Were all concerned about the product on the pitch but without prudent finances there wouldn't be a product at all. That extra mile you want might be the one that pisses off the rest of the squad who aren't paid as much or that extra mile might attract a good player who ends up crocked after the first game (see El-Alagui) and the club ends up flushing that extra mile of yours down the pan.
You'd be the first one on here moaning about RP if that came to pass as well.
Rod maybe hasn't got everything right in his time or been everyones cup of tea, but I dread to think where the club would be now, if there was still a club, were it not for RP and the rest of the board over the years.
If we're in relegation trouble by the end of the season then by all means you can have centre stage and declare open season on the board.

Tracey what's the story with the NHS Health Hub in the Famous Five stand?

am not asking about BTG which I never used but how area will work in future with the new health facility, has it been set up as an income generator for Hibs?

are Hibs Community Foundation ( who currently do very little ) involved?
    Great question @tricky

Again, indicative of the lack of PR coming from ER/EM this summer. I'd assume this NHS relationship is a positive one for the club so why not communicate such to the support?

So my question to @traceyhibs is has the PR communications strategy changed at Hibs this summer or is it simply down to changed personnel? Also interested if you agree Tracey that compared to recent years our communications haven't been the best? Communications needs to be more than just a 'buy this or that' message.

Would also say hibs tv has gone massively downhill... 3 minute interviews with players and lennon when it used to be closer to 10mins... and there are also a lot less interviews with the players and has become somewhat boring when they do have interviews

I'm sure Tracey will be along with the official line shortly.

Not being funny but being funny it's being rented or leased for an undisclosed fee! There's been various figures bandied about most of which would at least match the value of season tickets sold in that stand! Maybe we'll get a better idea when the accounts come out.

It seems the NHS get exclusive use of the inside other than access to the seating and shop.

I never used it either, I thought it was awful the couple of times I was there. I do however understand the thoughts of those that used and loved it and think the club should have had something in place, or even a plan, long before now.

Isn't that so. Painful to listen to and every time I see Lennon interviewed I think he is constantly trying not to appear rude to the boy. He must be fed up with the quality of questioning.

I seem to remember hearing that most things on this front are being done by young keen kids on the free. It shows in most areas that this is the case and that's not a slight on the kids involved, they're young and skills will develop- and our own Owen shows that there can be high quality available in this strategy. The trouble is that the rest are not Owen standard and Hibs are selling the product to people.
Hibs TV commentaries are also poor. I have to say that the one thing I hate about the Time for Heroes did is the Hibs TV bits. Ears cannae take it.

We've also got young Connal Tolmie who's involved in making short films [as a producer I think] who would doubtless jump at the chance to work on stuff like interviews and promo stuff.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I understand he has taken a back seat and recruitment is left to others to deal with. Once a player is targeted does Mr Petrie deal with the player and agent negotiating finances and wages or is this all on LD with Petrie having no input?
Just to re-iterate that Leeann very much runs the day to day activities of the Club across all of the areas of activity. In terms of recruitment, the effort is headed by George Craig and the recruitment team who do most of the work. They are supported when required by Leeann. Rod gets involved when he is asked to get involved, given his long experience. The notion that deals that don’t work out are in some way scuppered by the Chairman is very wide off the mark.

    Hi,

The NHS Health Hub hasn't been finalised as yet.

Frank and I met with Charlie Bennett at the tail end of last week and the Foundation are working really hard. Once some of their plans get started I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised. We have good CEO in there working for the Foundation.

    Thanks

re the match at Ibrox in august, and the pre~match meeting you referred to with TRFC, Police Scotland, etc, is it possible to ask TRFC Security Chief to accompany you and Frank to the away end during the game, to encounter the 'unique experience' of Hibs fans at Ibrox

    Hi there,

This is obviously all new to me but we will put our points across. Good suggestion but whether it's something that can be done is another thing. Everyone's safety is the main outcome here.

And useless. She'd somehow blame the SNP for any nefarious activity, probably linking it to the OBFA that she supports the repeal of.

    @traceyhibs

You seem to be responding to these questions, Tracey, so here's mine (I can't make meetings while I live in the Netherlands):

Does the club envisage an overhaul of the communications set up, and digital presence, that I mentioned in this post?

There are a whole raft of issues that potentially need some TLC, and not just for the sake of appearances; in my view, there are a pile of marketing opportunities that are going begging at a time when the club appears to have the ability to sort them out and create additional revenue streams.

    - Communication from the club, on established electronic media, is often very poor. It's not clear who to write to, or what the best medium is.
    - Social media is used inefficiently, and doesn't engage with fans. It seems an afterthought, despite strong performance as an e-commerce platform.
    - The club website is structured badly, and doesn't seem to have been focus-grouped. Information is limited, and not optimized for mobile platforms.
    - There is no presence on the Apple or Google store, and no app support available. For news, or digital content, this is a huge missed opportunity.
    - The support for the online shop is lacking, and availability often has problems. The range of items is threadbare, and there is no online promotion.
    - HibsTV is an extremely poor service. The quality of it is surprisingly low, the range of content is too narrow, and it's not nested sensibly.
    - There seems far too little fan-engagement across our communication platforms, when there are so many potential opportunities to do so.

I suppose what I'm asking is whether or not the club even has a communications hub that strategises on these matters, and looks to develop additional vehicles for both information and marketing.

Honestly, it doesn't look like it does and it doesn't look like it wants to because it'd be too much like hard work. But I believe, if done properly, the standing up of such a hub would pay for itself and then some.

Interested to hear your take on the subject.

    Hi there,

You make some good points and we did bring up the Website at the last Working Together Meeting.

I will pass over all your comments and will feedback to you.

A couple of apps have been brought to my attention as well so I'm going to be passing that over.

If you can direct message me or email me your details that would be great.

    Thanks

I'd say that should be kept for remaining SNP MP's...
    That's an interesting view.

Assuming, of course, that by "interesting" I mean "completely at odds with reality".

FWIW, I don't think Dugdale will be going anywhere all that soon. She's captained a ship that's now in 3rd place at all of Scotland's political levels (Westminster, Holyrood, councils), and the daggers still aren't out for her. Perhaps it's because she's a Hibs supporter?

    Would she get a ticket?
Depends if she's got an away season ticket.
