Just back......and sorry, that was murder!

Got a haircut, bought a couple of books (A guide book on Portugal as I am heading to Lisbon in June, a collection of stories by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, A Rankin Rebus book and Graham Greenes Quiet American . I also got The Graduate DVD, a Spanish Civil War DVD and the whole cartoon collection of Tintin on DVD in charity shops in Bathgate and Lanark

I had a decent bowl of Tomato, Bacon and Basil Soup washed down by a double expresso americano in the excellent Wallace Cafe also in Lanark then done a food shop for the family. Best deal was the biscuit and ice cream sliders in Aldi, only previously ever found in Mercadona, Spain.

Remind me, when does the fitba season start again?

I bought two cushions, a citronella candle, and an alarm clock.

Swung by the Hibs shop and bought some paper plates and paper cups.

Is it still the close season?

Ach, Rebus is always a good read. The Quiet American is better than good.

You can always fall back on the DVD of 21/05/2016........

I thought when you'd said on another thread that you had a bird and couldn't go to a game that you didn't mean a real bird.......

quite enjoyed the first free saturday to be honest..didn't miss many games in our three year sojourn in the first division

did the regular free fitba activity for 3-5 year olds on leith links in the morning, lunch at Bijou then just loafed about with the bairn and her pal with a few trips to the park and made some scran later on.

still a bit sore we are not in the cup final, winnable semi chucked away.

No, not yet P. SKII has furnished me with his thoughts, and I have a Hibby pal over there, but any thoughts and advice would be much appreciated.

Pity that wee Portuguese place top of my street has closed, decent source of those pies.

Yesterday was spent running about the meadows getting soaked. Today has mostly been hard labour in the garden.

I like the close season, golf, building up weekend loyalty points with my wife and pottering about the house.
