    1 year ago today

Sat in my seat for a full 5 minutes after the game at falkirk. I was numb after that last goal. One of the worst I have felt after a game. I had no expectations the team would be able to lift themselves in any way for 8 days time.

I remember the stand being bouncing in the first half too but it just fell apart right at the end.

Been a not too bad year since.....

Oh man. I was totally bereft too. Watched it in the Artisan with my Dundee Utd supporting pal, who didn't know where to look. Sickening.

Yup. It was a sickener - I thought we'd go into a tailspin but Stubbs and Doolan did a brilliant job turning that around as motivation for what happened next.

Sir David Gray had a hand in that. He texted all the players at the weekend to say they were going to end the season in a blaze of glory. A great captain.

On the way back to the car from the ground that night, my oldest laddie said it was my fault he supported Hibs and he hated them. One week later, history was made and the Hibees are Back!

It was, with "Keats is on fire" getting sung to the rafters on the concourse.

The walk back to the car that night from the game was horrible...

Never mind 1 year today...the coming week ought to be marked in a fitting manner but all is quiet with regards to next weekend, in particular.

The obvious thing is to celebrate at the women's cup final - which is going out on national telly - but the venue is probably a bit prohibitive for that for many.

Hibs Legends are playing Leith, I think, next weekend - but not on Sunday. Stokes is apparently going to be at the game, as well

I think it is Friday evening 6.45pm KO? Maybe someone else with Leith Athletic links (pardon the pun) can confirm. We have a couple of said folks on here.

Unfortunately, I'm in the Weege on Friday...not good timing.

Mind going into ER the next day to help with the Time for Heroes banner. We were all wondering why we were bothering with it.

1 week on and we we're all more in love with Hibs than ever.

They say it's always darkest before dawn; Hibs being Hibs it had
to get pitch black before the greatest act of will and fortitude in the history of Scottish football saw the Phoenix rise.

I think 'Persevere' should now be formally incorporated into the club's crest as our motto, like sevco's aye deady. Is this something others think the fan reps should ask about?

I remember speaking to a Hibs director I think Erik Davidson was his name around 1999 when Hibs were ditching the easter egg badge. I told him that 'Persevere' should absolutely be on the new crest. He totally disagreed. Said he got my sentiments but the word means struggle etc etc and it wasn't an image they wanted the new crest to reflect.

I told him I thought that was nonsense.

He than pointed out to me he was the main guy in a multi million pound design/brand agency Tayburn....

I think he was still talking nonsense.

Yup I think he is talking nonsense, and anyway the meaning has now changed after 210516 - we have succeeded through perseverance rather than it carrying insinuation of us plugging along in failure

Yup I think he is talking nonsense, and anyway the meaning has now changed after 210516 - we have succeeded through perseverance rather than it carrying insinuation of us plugging along in failure
    Great latter point. 👏

I like 'Persevered' but without the usual hashtag prefix.

I do too shrink but it's a bit 'point in time' for incorporation into the crest - present tense suggests, at least to me, an ongoing attitude

The club badge is absolutely perfect the way it is. If ya want Persevere on the shirt then we should get the pub at the fit o Easter Road to sponsor us.

My laddie is off to Copenhagen this weekend and will be marking Sunday by visiting the fountain again in full Hibs regalia with a bottle of bubble bath...it would be a shame not to remind the locals of last summer;)
Hibs are standing on the brink of history...
