    Cummings

What does he bring us when we play at Hampden? He looked knackered as usual from the 50 minute.

Can he also stop taking free kicks also.

He was knackered because he was asked to play as a lone striker against one of the best defences in the country. Virtually no service whatsoever. A thankless task. He is still our best striker by a country mile.

    Wow!
I'm not even going to post further comment in case it gives some kind of justification to that bizarre OP.

Some of his free kicks have actually came in pretty handy this season

The lad gives his all and scores goals. There's not a single forward in Scotland not including Celtic that I would take before him. He scores goals end off.

Maybe your watching something different when we play at Hampden, He was poor in previous games, Stubbs even took him off after alot of huff and puff.

The free kick that was being taken was for a right footed player.

    Really?

His goals are the reason were getting out of this league, in no way did I say that I didn't like him, I questioned whether his performances at Hampden where good enough.

Don't agree with the free kick shout but Cummings is yet to score at Hampden in five games. I think the bigger pitch doesn't help him and he tires quicker.

I've been a critic of Jase but only because he's the most frustrating wee $#@!e we've had for ... well for a very long time!

I've thought for a few weeks he's not been at his best but that's strikers for you. He can be $#@!e, in a non contributory way or turn a game in a second.

I'd rather have him on the pitch than on the bench.

some of the replies are pretty harsh. I have not seen anything to suggest Andy posts pish. He said quite clearly Jason has not produced at Hampden and he is quite correct. Now the reasons may be that he is played as a lone striker or whatever, but Andy's post is valid. If Jason wants that mega deal transfer, clubs will look at the big games which he has not produced in..and that may not be his fault, or that he is still learning his trade, but ridiculing Andy is not a defense. Try looking at stats and coming up with reasons. Andy never once said Jason does not deliver in league games...or even quarter finals, but at Hampden.

Andy, though I share your frustration...having backed him to score first goal today, we need to remember these appearances are one offs and throw up many things, such as man marking. Dylan on the other hand scores a goal , first in 2 years...as does the enigma holt. Maybe they werent marked so tightl

I think you need to cut him some slack!! I'm sure I heard he was being given some treatment for a back strain leading up to the semi final..

He locked jaded and somewhat off the pace yesterday and if it was a league game I'm sure he would sat out..

We'll be very fortunate to hang onto him for next season..

Tbh i would be shocked if the back strain was true after he was throwing Grado about the training centre ::

The guy can be very quiet then bang one in from 22 yards!!

He is an easy target when not scoring but hes great for the team on and off the park!

    Get a grip!!!!

Were you ssying this when he bangs them in against the gunts!!

Hes playing as a lone striker against the "so called" 2nd best defence in Scotland!!

This guy can score goals anywhere the fact hes up front probably puts the fear into most defences!

Like what has been said he was asked to play up front on his own and was left chasing shadows and had nothing but high balls put in to him

That's the trouble with being lucky enough to have a striker that scores so many goals, Gaz.

If he doesn't score practically every game then the knives come out. Some strikers haven't scored as many goals their whole careers as he has in his four seasons. Some Hibees have very high expectations. False ones at that.

As for him not scoring at Hampden...eh short memories or what? He scored the winning penalty in the semi final shootout just last year didn't he. Of course some Hibees totally forget that and can only wallow in his panenka miss...a miss that he and Logan rectified in the end. Don't dare give him credit for standing up and righting his wrong likes. Sheesh! Move on folks.

We used to moan at never winning Finals now we moan at one single player not scoring in not even a Final but a Semi FFS.

In the last 3 years JC has scored 13 goals in both Cup comps that has taken us to the heights of Hampden in the first place.

Little boy lost, upfront by himself yesterday. Not diverse enough, great when we play to suit him with quick balls into the box but cant lead aline and isn't quick enough to stretch defenses in behind.

If we get 2 mill take the money and run.

I wish he would just stick to poaching. I've been saying it for about 2 years now.
He's a fantastic finisher but he wants the the ball and goes out his way to go and find it. As a lone striker playing with a team being pushed back and only receiving punts to start with yesterday ruined his game right from the off.
Our midfield didn't give enough support yesterday. Aye he didn't do much, but he wasn't really given a platform to do anything.

I was actually thinking how useful he'd have been as our left sided player yesterday, he has good crossing, a direct mind and enough pace and ability to beat a man.

He definitely hasn't done anything to deserve being singled out for not scoring goals. his record speaks for itself.
    Who's a better free-kick taker?

Hampden pitch is only slightly bigger than Easter Road pitch. The big Hampden Park pitch is a myth - Hampden Pitch Size: 115 x 75 yards . Easter Road Pitch Size: 112 x 74 yards .

Yeah but to be fair, that equals an extra 337sq yards more pitch to play on

What does he bring us when we play at Hampden? He looked knackered as usual from the 50 minute.

Can he also stop taking free kicks also.
Don't agree. Once Holt came on i thought the two of them gave Aberdeen no end of trouble, so much so that Aberdeen had to change their defensive formation. Some of Jason's well timed runs in to the left channel were superb and he also put in three great balls in to the box which unfortunately didn't end up as real chances. The first half hour Jason was ineffective but so would Messi have been such was Aberdeen's dominance after our horrible start. You keep slagging our best players though!
