    Highlight of the season...

is hopefully still yet to come. However, if our Scottish Cup odyssey ends this weekend or on the last Saturday in May, what would your highlight of the season be?

    Dispatching the Gunts again?
    Winning the title against Queens?
    Keats' goal against Fawkirk?
    Jason's wrestling video?

For me, it has to be the away game at Brondby. It came back into my mind today as I contemplated that we are only 180 minutes from another European sortie...it had me dig out the thread on the game to reminisce. Especially Owen's fab video embedded in the thread.

What would we give for more of the same?

Just back from Copenhagen and that was wonderful, wonderful...
Hibs are standing on the brink of history...

Your return to the board has been my bounce highlight.

On the pitch - missed brondby games due to summer holiday - at least I didn't have a repeat of my Bulgarian barman pal who tried his socks off to find me the malmo game and settled for plying me with drink as we watched the scores. His brilliant deadpan at 7-0 lives with me; this is a professional team, yes?

So for me it's the gunts game. A magnificent mauling and how I hope we will turn out this weekend.

    1/ The Hearts cup win
2/ The Dundee United match just after New Year when Hibs produced IMO their best performance of the season.
    3/ Keatings winner against Falkirk
4/ The moment just after full-time last Saturday when it was announced that Falkirk and St Mirren had finished a draw and that Hibs were league champions.

My highlights were getting home for games 2 and 3, closely followed by humping the Gunt Munt's.
Promotion of course is up there and looking forward to my next visit to watch our team in the SPL, after having witnessed 2 in a row of course !!!

The football has been a hard watch , we lost some style and gained some grind a fair trade off to win the championship. Job done .

Brondby for me as well - from the minute we joined the Hibs fans congregating outside the Dubliner, the march to the train, the most bouncing train I've ever been on, reaching the stadium, the game, David Gray scoring, signing John McGinn's name after losing the shoot out, heading back to the Dubliner... excellent all round.

Sedond was beating United 3-0 at a packed Easter Road under the floodlights. Third was beating Hearts 3-1 at a packed Easter Road under the floodlights.

McGregor's rib crunching tackle on Cowie at tiny was the finest thing I've witnessed since Ian Murray took out that wee scrote Black at the same place 6 years before.

Tynecastle in the Cup was superb; the support was utterly fantastic that day.

I also really enjoyed Falkirk away, 1st league game of the season; the first domestic competitive game since winning the Scottish Cup, good win and I did a full on somersault over the seat in front of me at the winning goal & landed on the person in front of me.

The night before Brondby, right through to the penalty shoot out on a personal level was best highlight. Beating Hearts 3-0 was the football highlight. Winning promotion was the biggest relief. Winning the Scottish cup again this year might just trump it all

As others have said, hopefully the best is yet to come but highlights for me up until this point are...

Getting Time for Heroes shown in the Harp & Castle before the hertz game after Tweeting Tich and asking if he'd stick it on. Modern technology is it at it's best when you're asking your favourite pub's landlord what he should have on the telly

Going absolutely radge when Cummings scored after my mate saying "this is how it happens" only seconds before (another story for another day). Sometimes you just know when you're going to give them a doing. Holt and Shinnie made it all the sweeter. The score might have been 3-1 but the gap, in reality, was so much bigger.

The atmosphere at Easter Road that night will take a lot to be bettered. The loudest I think I've ever heard us.

Getting a photo taken one more time with the Scottish Cup, only this time with the four boys I celebrated the Scottish Cup win with.

Sitting in The Harp & Castle before the Falkirk game when Dundee United and St Mirren contested the Irn Bru Cup. After St Mirren quickly equalised following Dundee United's opened my brother said "see if that happens today...". Of course, Falkirk quickly equalised after Efe opened the scoring which led to a couple of knowing looks between my brother Jonah and I. The final near literal nail biting 15 minutes of pent up frustration exploding when Keats cut inside his man and curled an absolute worldy into the top right hand corner. The first thing I do when Hibs score is turn and look for someone to grab hold of before I lose my $#@! in the moment completely and I won't quickly forget the look on my brother's face when we turned to face one another after realising Keats had scored and we'd won.

    Classic moment!

Like most, my top moments 2 - 4 were the Hearts and Dundee United maulings at ER and the great few days in Brondby.

My number 1 moment was one month after leaving the mobile phone in a taxi before the game in Copenhagen when I heard the clunk of my returning mobile phone landing on the wooden floor in my flat. Yes, the phone broke but at least I managed to get back the photos and footage of some memorable events from that day at Hampden that I had hoped were gone forever.

I loved the Copenhagen trip - enjoyed a beer or two with Big G and the (almost) equally as famous Jonnyboy from Hibs.net who is a sound bloke - also had the rather unique 'hello' from another well kent dude from these parts who stuck his tongue in my ear. I think it was his tongue anyway.
Gubbing the Gunts is up there - the atmosphere at Tincastle superb.......... the worldy from Keats v Falkirk................. all great football moments.

On a personal note, my highlight of the last few months was reporting Smurf to Facebook for sending me pictures of his todger and getting his account suspended.

I didn't make Brondby as I was on holiday, that happens any season Hibs get into Europe nowadays.

McGregor's rib crunching tackle on Cowie at tiny was the finest thing I've witnessed since Ian Murray took out that wee scrote Black at the same place 6 years before.

Not a ball in sight Pretty sure I remember hearing that Cowie said it was the hardest he'd ever been hit. One thing's for sure, he was white as a sheet when he went off shortly after. Pleasing.

My highlight of the season has to be Hertz at ER - the sheer joy, noise, and general bedlam when Shinnie's went in was special. It was mad - it just seemed like a very, very long time since we'd been that far in front of them, to be honest. But Easter Road was simply spine-tingling from start to finish - we were as up for it as the players.
Get busy livin', or get busy dyin'...

Just noting that this is a wee thread about the highlight of THIS season. 21st May, no matter how majestic, doesn't qualify

Another happy moment for me, I've just recalled, was the premiere of the Just For Heroes film at the pictures in Leith. Was a wonderful way to relive the events of last year and see the film ahead of the DVD release. Seeing Rodders near greetin' caught me out big time.

It will be getting an airing on the tellybox again tonight, just as it did ahead of the games against the Gunts.
Hibs are standing on the brink of history...

Wondered why you asked for them on a GIF format...

Enjoyed watching all the big smiles and happy faces in all the crucial games this season, especially my sons and grandchildren. The fact my son got to see Hibs away at Brondby, something I never achieved but he revealed it was his favourite experience watching the Hibees. That feel good factor at last back amongst players and fans alike. It's a love affair for life.

Its never too late for us more mature Hibby's. When we retain the cup, go see Hibs in Europe, it is brilliant.

Really hope I can do it 1875, was delighted for my mates who raved about Anderlecht constantly, but seen how much my son enjoyed Brondby, the future is bright, the Hibernian we leave behind for future generations is really important to me, I fell in love with Hibs and took the floodlit Euro nights for granted back then, they were so special these games. Owen take your auld pa to the next away Euro game.

Given that I rarely get to games these days, my highlight was taking my oldest son to his first game at ER (v Ayr in the cup) and his three favourite players scoring. Lovely!

Close second was watching the 'Time for Heroes' DVD with my folks and seeing MY cup final day/night immortalised! God Bless John Doolan.
