Turns out the big cup is the wee cup and the wee cup is the big cup

Still nice to have won it, but this maybe explains why the gunts are unable to win the LC as that's actually the big cup. On a more sombre note it perhaps calls into question how much dosh breaking the hoodoo brought in.

This year's William Hill Scottish Cup winners are set to land a prize worth little more than half of that given to Celtic for lifting the Betfred Cup back in November.

The Hoops landed £200,000 for beating Aberdeen but the victors in next month's Hampden showpiece will take home just £114,000.

That's only £14,000 more than the Dons received for coming runners-up to the Hoops in the first final of the Scottish season...

So are the SFA pocketing the money from the Scottish cup sponsorship and TV?
Think the Betfred Cup is an SPFL tournament

interesting but the prestige and associated benefits of winning the Scottish Cup far greater, would we have sold 11,300 season tickets season after a League Cup win..

pooled gate receipts from Scottish Cup semis be higher than the League Cup usually

we should really have won both last season but no complaints with how it panned out

Im glad the way it worked out.... would we have had the same determination, passion, desire and fight to win SC if we had won LC and got promoted? I dont know, i think all factors led us to go out to win the SC due to media lapping up the daft "hibsed it"... so for me, I would change nothing

You are right of course, but don't tell the Gunts. It does their daft condescension into context because boy could they use the money.
