Still not worthy of a red card though , if he was sent off for head butt he'll surely win the appeal simply because there wasn't one
I still reckon they will do him for intent Daz.

The bit of the original interview I saw he started by answering the question by saying "I couldn't hear what he said"The follow up question was "what did you think when you saw Duffy coming at you?""I thought he was coming for a square go"That was paraphrased euphemistically later by the hundog Meeks.
Correct. And he mentioned this in his interview on STV news last night, saying he was being stitched up.

That's probably correct. Doesn't take away from the whole presser being all about Lennon- something he claims to dislike yet perpetuates at any given chance.

I liked what he said on Wednesday, it showed he's not going to be messed about, and neither will his team, but that transcript from yesterday is pretty dire. He makes some good points about number of fouls by both teams, telling the sun reporter to bolt, but the overarching feel of it all- and he'll know this- was about him.

The link in the first post shows Lennon saying ' The Morton manager, asking for a square go, which is fair enough'
    Indeed it does.
Which is some time after the original q&a that I saw.
Hence it was Lennon paraphrasing himself.

Pretty sure that was Lennon's first press meeting after the game, certainly looks like it?

It wasn't the one I saw.
    Definitely.
When I first saw the headlines I said immediately to the missus 'that's shocking, he was asked what he thought and said ......"

So there was one before, he wasn't behind a desk then either.

The bust up at the end tonight

It was the interview with Luke Shanley on Sky where the whole 'square go' thing came from.

Shanley asked him what he thought Duffy was doing/going to do as he was on his way to Lennon's dugout. Lennon replied saying something like 'I thought he was coming over to ask for a square go'.

Edit: Shanley explaining it here: Luke Shanley on Twitter:
Seems like there's a hole in my dreams, or so it seems

"LENNON TO ONE REPORTER (Robert Martin from The Sun): “I’m going to ask you politely to leave Robert and don’t come back."

    About time!

I've been warming to NL all season as the Hibs manager, although I'd seen a huge change in his demeanour since the early celtc years. He's actually quite hot now ... in a man to man way ... I'm still not be carrying any man bag he might have but I doubt he'll have one 😈

Don't take any $#@! Neil. The players are behind you, the hierarchy of the club is behind you AND the support is behind you.

I thought the interview was about getting an edge for next Saturday and standing up to the Scottish media.

Throwing out a sun reporter? Works for me - certainly better than writing for that stinking cesspit like Jim Duffy does.

Neil Lennon has stood up for the club, we should stand up for him because the vitriol that's getting aimed his way from non rangers fans is vile.

The real story here is the shocking challenge & the shocking subsequent cheating. Trying to shift it onto something else is at best cynical and at worst sinister.

    Spot on.

Neil Lennon called it absolutely correctly when he said the journos weren't doing their jobs properly.
Further evidence (not that any was needed) that they are just poodles who spin a story rather than report one.

Tom English seems to have broken ranks - no doubt just because he's a tarrier/taig/fenian etc etc

Lennon was hardly popular with the press before, joining the Club that dared to gub the Press favourites in the Cup Final sealed his fate as far as many of them are concerned.

Shameful behaviour all comes from Morton - and the Meeja.

None from Lennon - and trust me, I wasn't his biggest fan in earlier times.

Opposition player cripples one player and gets another sent off so both are likely to be unavailable when we meet in the next game. Morton manager then starts a rammy knowing NL will react and get all the heat.

I wonder what orders this substitute was given by the morton manager before he came on?
    Space to let

Can't remeber the game or who was playing but it was not a regular league match, Duffy was doing his pundit bit on the game at half time. The talking point was a counter attack where the ball goes up to the attacker on the halfway line and only one player marking him and last line of defence, safe to say the attacker leaves him in his trail and scored. Presenter asked Duffy if he thought the defender could have done more, " Iwould have taken his legs clean away from him" was that $#@!s response. This was not too long after he was at Hibs.

If two players squaring up merited a red card hardly any games would finish with 22 on the park . I'll be amazed if it stands

The coward who assaulted Jordon then collapsed like he'd been shot in the head when Daz squared up to him should be banned for several games.
    A coward, a thug, and a cheat.

No place for him in the game.

Unless Clyde FC are looking for fresh talent of course.
