Pleased with this, they have about ten clubs on their books so should avoid the usual templates that Nike churned out.

According to Dempster: "PSL are a Scottish-based retailer who, from the start, impressed us with their hunger and entrepreneurial approach. They, like us, are keen to extend the range of products we have in the club store and will be able to offer flexibility to react and cater for our fans."

    Least they're based in Scotland.

They make some nice kits; hopefully we'll get a bespoke strip rather than the template pish we got with Nike (although last season's kit was my favourite for a long time).

"We’ve worked closely with the club to design a set of unique kits which combine the performance elements required by modern day players along with the typical Italian stylish designs which we are sure the fans will appreciate.”

That suggests that we will - although arguably giving us some template pish but with a Hibs badge stuck on it could also be described as 'unique'.

Happy enough with Macron, I'm never going to buy/wear it I'm sure it'll be fine. A green strip with a Hibs badge. Good.

Less impressed by the decision to go with this PSL outfit. A quick look at their website suggests they've never had a client the size of Hibs before- Milngavie FC and Ardossan Accies etc- which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but doesn't portray experience in dealing with hopefully the broad range and depth Hibs should be looking to deliver.

Also thinks it looks like LD is taking an easy route outsourcing the club shop. I've been looking forward to Hibs bringing it back inhouse and showing a degree of innovation. Integrating the club shop back into the structure of the club, inviting designs for ranges from supporters, being able to find other suppliers for stuff like beach towels for @beefy or letting @Owen have a go at designing some t shirts.

All of that may still be possible, but I would have preferred the hibs club shop to be ran by Hibs.

Good! What we had, which included the shop deal with Nike, was crap! I'm assuming the shop deal is now officially deid.

I think I'm right in thinking that after this contract there's only part of the catering contract that will be a leftover from the old regime.

Onwards and upwards. I think they do the rugby gear my mates wear. I like the designs and the quality seems a step up on what we've become used to.

Hopefully I'll find plenty to replace my Le Coq stuff!!!

After a bit of teething issues the Scottish Rugby kit has really improved with Macron. Being Italian, you may have to go up a size due to the cut of some items. I think it will work out well for us.

A good move to ditch a big name brand for the likes of Macron who will give us a unique and quality Hibs. Something we lacked under Just Sport/Nike.

A shame that they've outsourced the Hibs Clubstore again though. Big pressure for PSL to do well.

quite happy to see Hibs do this. Used Macron a couple of years back for training kit for our Boys Club.
Good quality gear, and lasted well. Might even persuade the club to go back to it again.

Staff ain't getting bumped, so no excuse for the $#@!e attitude.

Hopefully we'll see some decent original kits, similar to the Le Coq era of kits.

Macron are brilliant, good quality and designs. They've been making the Bologna kit for ages and do a good job, the Scottish rugby kit is also pretty good.

don't care who makes the kit as long as it's a simple green shirt with white sleeves and not minging

biggest issue is getting stuff in the club shop which folk will want to buy and keeping enough stock of popular items

could surely have a wee stall in east concourse selling hats, scarves, gloves etc in the winter and other tat all year round

Simple idea tha would no doubt turn a profit. I'd have been a shopper a few weeks back when wee egb, his mothers words ringing in our ears, came to rue his decision to prioritise rejecting a warm coat so as to sport his Hibs stuff. Had to give the wee bam mine and sat chittering through the game...having been told if I went round to the club shop to give money to Hibs to get him something warm, i wouldn't be allowed back in!

think the club shop is closed during the game could be wrong, should at least let famous five punters in at half time if they want..

good photo of Willie Miller ( billy bingham ) in your avatar, was in my big brothers year at Porty, confirmed bam.

we collared him briefly at the St Pats Skol Cup 25th anniversary do, let's just say he's still not a great conversationalist...interesting attire of tight shirt with extremely short sleeves and shiny waistcoat, dress troosers.

    always liked him tbh

Jobsworth asked me aggressively to produce and show my season ticket long before I got near the turnstiles on Saturday. Getting pissed off with it. I'm walking into ER tensed up these days...

Its jobsworth security guards who cannae think outside the box.
Yup. I think they couldn't get round the problem that someone could be doubling up on my ST. The huge logistical issue of one of them remembering me for 5 minutes and letting me in the door seemed to be beyond them.

I take it you don't smoke.

When we were first allowed out our tickets/season tickets were scanned to check us out and then scanned again on the way in.

But if a faff they don't bother with now but it's obviously possible.

Happy to see the back of Nike, that all-green template abomination (dressed up as some kind of famous 5 tribute) from 2 seasons back still makes me shudder. Enjoyed watching the team that wore it though!

What does "out-sourcing" the club shop actually involve? Presumably the club still collects X% profit on each item sold? Unlike with the catering. Can't be any worse than the previous incumbents.

Thing is eegie, its no rocket science to them. There's a person with a hand held scanner at the disabled entrance at the East. Like you say, how they couldn't "remember you" in the short space of 15-20 mins it would have taken for you to nip round to the shop is beyond me.

You're barking up the wrong tree pleading to Macron - its PSL who'll be doing that kind of stuff.

Not had a huge amount of experience with Macron but what I have had has seemed fairly good, picked up an Edinburgh Rugby top a few years back which seemed fine though a little small, my own fault as I left it too late and the larger size was sold out.

Looking at stuff they have done for rugby and football clubs of the green and white variety they currently do the shirts for PFC Ludogorets Razgrad from Bulgaria and Sporting Clube de Portugal (though the front of their shirts are stripes the back is mostly solid green).
