Looking at Mortons games i can see them dropping points against Dumbarton , Hibs and St mirren in the next 3 matches possibly 3 draws
I think that's very possible and important too. The teams you'd want to be playing in the close out are qos and raith. We've got both and they have raith. Those are the easiest fixtures right now - the teams at the bottom have really picked up their game.

Its a truly mental league this season where anyone can drop points in every game. We've lost points against every team in the league! I wonder if any team has a 100% record against another?
Not sure but look at St Mirrens recent revival after an awful season

You wouldn't want to play St Mirren , are they and Morton not big rivals ?

I wouldn't want to be playing Morton now, no. Over the last 2 months / 7 games they have best form in the entire league. I am dreading playing them on the last day if our fate and theirs is not decided by then.

Actually I think we are agreeing and it's just got garbled. I am agreeing with you it's a tough tie for Morton, and not one I'd want for Hibs...people who look at the table are IMHO not looking at this right; even though they are higher in the table, QoS and Raith are the sort of fixtures it's good to have right now, not St Mirren and Ayr.

Right now, I'd rather play Dundee United than St Mirren, any day of the week.

Morton have played 10 games v hibs, Falkirk and Dundee united. They've won once. It's all relative.

I've just realised that the previous exchange re my post you quoted is based on me saying Morton when I meant St Mirren (hence the talk of our last day fixture) and then failing to notice! Anyway it was meant to begin - I wouldn't want to be playing st Mirren right now...

You are right we have some of the easiest fixtures we could have coming up. Not Morton given the context, but if there are winnable games right now it's QOS and Raith...knowing our luck by the time we get them they'll be dragged into the relegation battle and will have upped their game.

    We have got 60 points.
The maximum Morton can get is 67.
The maximum Falkirk can get is 66.
The maximum Dundee United can get is 65.
We win our next two games and we can only be overtaken on goal difference.

I expect Falkirk to beat united and us to draw with Morton. That will leave us 7 points in front and needing 5. We absolutely need to win a game. Pretty much any game will do, but we need to win one. I think the wins will come against QOS and / or Raith.

The game against Morton this weekend has draw written all over it. So does the Dundee Utd v Falkirk game IMO.

So I expect it'll be the exact same points difference between the top four this time next week but with one game less to go.

Dundee united are the weakest team in the league at the moment and Falkirk's win record one of the best after St Mirren. I expect them to beat united and claw back another two points which will underline the significance of Keatings vundergol.

Falkirk's likely demise will be over the following two rounds of fixtures where they face St Mirren and Dunfy. We may become champions the day of the semi.
